The Pogues Return with a New Treasure Hunt in ‘Outer Banks’ Season 3 Trailer
Let’s hear it — P4L!
The Pogues begin their search for El Dorado in the trailer for Outer Banks Season 3.
Decider reports that the Pogues will venture to the City of Gold, and the trailer teases plenty of clues about the friends’ latest treasure hunt.

Netflix debuted the trailer for Outer Banks‘ third season, fittingly set to The Beach Boys’ “Sloop John B,” nearly one month after it announced the premiere date.
In the two-minute trailer, JJ holds a copy of V.S. Naipaul’s The Loss of El Dorado, which could be a clue to the key of “the ultimate conquest, El Dorado,” that the mysterious man in the trailer tells Kiara about — after, presumably, kidnapping her.
Before all those twists and turns, the trailer teases that the Pogues will experience some surprises upon their return from Poguelandia — the island they named after Ward Cameron stranded them there.
While it’s surprising to see Sarah and Topper looking at each other across a classic Kooks’ party on the beach, it’s more shocking that Sarah goes to her father for help.

As for fathers, TV Line confirms that Outer Banks‘ new trailer reveals the moment that John B reunites with his previously presumed dead father, Big John.
The heartfelt scene quickly turns to Big John assisting his son in the journey to El Dorado. But what about Big John’s connection to Carla Limbrey, revealed in the Season 2 finale?
And is that a spark between JJ and Kiara? Like the first few photos, this trailer teases that Season 3 could be when JJ and Kiara break the ever-broken Pogues rule: “No Pogue-on-Pogue macking.”
Luckily, answers to those questions (and many more) are only a few weeks away. Outer Banks Season 3 premieres on Thursday, February 23, on Netflix.

The Pogues — John B, Sarah, Kiara, Pope, JJ, and Cleo — are “once again caught up in a race for the treasure, quite literally running for their lives,” per the season’s logline.
John B’s ominous voiceover suggests that the treasure that the Pogues always thought would even the scales between them and the Kooks could wind up being their biggest trap.
Still, no matter that they have to come up against Ward and Rafe, who “are hungry for revenge,” and “a ruthless Caribbean Don who will stop at nothing to find the bounty,” the Pogues will find out a way out together.
