Outer Banks Sets Season 3 Premiere Date on Netflix

News

It’s almost time to visit Poguelandia!

Per TV Line, Outer Banks Season 3 finally returns on Thursday, February 23, on Netflix. This news comes three months after Netflix released a teaser trailer for the upcoming season during the streaming service’s TUDUM event.

Season 3 stars Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Rudy Pankow, Carlacia Grant, Drew Starkey, and Charles Esten. The cast also includes Austin North, Cullen Moss, Julia Antonelli, Caroline Arapoglou, E. Roger Mitchell, Charles Halford, Elizabeth Mitchell, and Andy McQueen.

As that teaser trailer and the new photos show, Season 3 picks up with the Pogues where Season 2 leaves them — without the gold but at a place they can call their own.

The desert island they name Poguelandia has the flag that JJ dreamed up to prove it, and “for a brief moment, seems like an idyllic home.”

However, as Outer Banks usually goes, John B, Sarah, Kiara, Pope, JJ, and Cleo find themselves on the run again as they search for the treasure.

To make matters worse, the season’s description details that “Ward and Rafe are hungry for revenge, and there’s a ruthless Caribbean Don who will stop at nothing to find the bounty.”

Outer Banks, which debuted in 2020, was created and executive produced by Jonas Pate, Josh Pate, and Shannon Burke.

According to Deadline, “The Pates and Burke note that “the stakes are ramping up” for The Pogues in Season 3, as they “realize that their adventures in the first two seasons were merely the prelude to the granddaddy of all treasure hunts.”

No matter the stakes, one thing is always certain — “It’s the Pogues against the world – and the only way out is together.”

Pogues for Life is more than a saying, and no Pogue on Pogue making has always been a rule to be broken on Outer Banks. John B and Sarah Cameron’s forbidden love story broke the role in the show’s first season.

Season 2 saw Kiara and Pope briefly take their friendship to the next level. Based on the teaser trailer and the new photos, Season 3 could be the season that Outer Banks heats up the slow burn that emerged in Season 2 between Kiara and JJ.

Season 3 may also see a connection deepen between Cleo and Pope. A lot can happen in Poguelandia, even if that paradise can’t last forever.

While the treasure-hunting and romantic drama will undoubtedly continue upon the season’s premiere, there is plenty more to anticipate. For instance, how will John B react when he learns that his presumed-dead father, Big John, is alive?

Luckily for Outer Banks fans, the wait is almost over.

Outer Banks Season 3 premieres on Thursday, February 23, on Netflix.
