Poguelandia’s paradise won’t last long when the Pogues get wrapped up in another treasure hunt on Outer Banks Season 3.
As the trailer for the upcoming season reveals, the Pogues’ adventure could lead them to the City of Gold, El Dorado, but it won’t be smooth sailing as they come up against Rafe and Ward Cameron (still) and “a ruthless Caribbean Don.”
Season 3 has plenty of cliffhangers to follow up on beyond Outer Banks‘ central gold mystery, too, including Big John being alive and fostering an alliance with Carla Limbrey. Moreover, the Season 2 finale teases that Kiara and JJ may have more in common than they realize, potentially leading to a romance.
The new footage sets that ship — Jiara — in motion with quick glimpses of JJ and Kiara getting closer than ever, even when forces keep pulling them apart.
The trailer’s out-of-context glimpse at Sarah and Topper also suggests that Sarah and John B could experience more romantic hurdles once they return to the Outer Banks. Alternatively, sparks may fly between Pope and the Pogues’ newest member, Cleo.
No matter what romantic entanglements and high-stakes adventures await the Pogues, Outer Banks will continue to bring truth to the phrase “Pogues for life.”

Season description:
After losing the gold and fleeing the Outer Banks, Season 3 finds the Pogues washed ashore on a desert island that, for a brief moment, seems like an idyllic home. Officially deemed “Poguelandia,” the island’s newest residents spend their days fishing, swimming, and reveling in the carefree lifestyle of their temporary dwelling. But things quickly go south for John B, Sarah, Kiara, Pope, JJ, and Cleo when they find themselves once again caught up in a race for the treasure, quite literally running for their lives. They’re broke and far from home, they can’t trust anyone, Ward and Rafe are hungry for revenge, and there’s a ruthless Caribbean Don who will stop at nothing to find the bounty. Was the treasure ever within their reach? Or was it all a trap to stop them once and for all? Either way, it’s the Pogues against the world – and the only way out is together.
