School Spirits Trailer Released by Paramount+
High school becomes an eternal horror story in the official trailer for Paramount+‘s School Spirits, which is based on the upcoming graphic novel by Nate Trinrud & Megan Trinrud, and Maria Nguyen.
The drama premieres with three episodes on Thursday, March 9, on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada — and the following day in Australia and the U.K.
School Spirits will debut on the streaming service in Latin America and Brazil the following month on Friday, April 28.

After the three-episode series premiere, School Spirits will debut new episodes of its eight-episode season weekly.
With sitcoms like CBS’ Ghosts and ABC’s Not Dead Yet, ghosts are finding a new life on the small screen, and School Spirits joins the likes of Netflix’s Julie and the Phantoms in the YA subgenre.
The Paramount+ show follows Peyton List, who serves as an executive producer, as Madison “Maddie” Nears as she investigates her own mysterious disappearance while stuck in the afterlife, only to discover that she may have been murdered.
Per School Spirits‘ logline, “Maddie goes on a crime-solving journey as she adjusts to high school purgatory, but the closer she gets to discovering the truth, the more secrets and lies she uncovers.”

The trailer sees Maddie join the Split River High Afterlife Support Group and meet other teen ghosts. One of whom is Nick Pugliese’s Charley, who walks Maddie through some basic, afterlife rules: Nothing changes, and everything resets. Oh, and trying to leave the high school’s campus only brings the person back to where they died.
School Spirits‘ cast also includes Kristian Flores as Simon Elroy, Spencer MacPherson as Xavier Baxter, Kiara Pichardo as Nicole Herrera, Sarah Yarkin as Rhonda, Rainbow Wedell as Claire Zolinski, and Milo Manheim as Wally Clark. Josh Zuckerman and Maria Dizzia recur in guest star roles as Mr. Martin and Sandra Nears, respectively.
Awesomeness Live-Action Studios produces. Oliver Goldstick serves as showrunner and executive producer, along with creators and executive producers Nate Trinrud and Megan Trinrud, who wrote the pilot. Max Winkler directed and executive-produced the first two episodes.
