The Mandalorian Season 3 Premiere Date Announced by Disney+
The space adventures continue for the Mandalorian and Grogu on The Mandalorian Season 3, coming to Disney+ in March.
TV Line confirms that the new season will premiere on Wednesday, March 1, on the streaming service.
Disney+ revealed the news through a tweet that shows a glimpse at the Mandalorian and Grogu in the new season. The first look of Pedro Pascal in action again as Djarin came in The Mandalorian‘s Season 3 teaser trailer released in September.
Season 3’s updated premiere date marks a shift from the previously reported February window.
It also comes on the heels of the end of another Star Wars property from Lucasfilm, Andor. The debut season wrapped up with Andor Season 1 Episode 12, “Rix Road,” on November 23.
Deadline reports that “The Mandalorian Season 3 will pick up right after The Book of Boba Fett, with Din Djarin heading back to his home planet of Mandalore to restore his rep as a Mandalorian again.”
The Book of Boba Fett concluded its debut season in February of this year. Shortly after, Obi-Wan Kenobi commenced its limited run on the streaming service. The series finale, Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 1 Episode 6, “Part IV,” aired in June of this year.

The Mandalorian‘s return has been highly anticipated by fans since the last episode of Season 2 premiered in December 2020. During its run, the series has been nominated for 39 Emmy® awards and won 14 of them.
Pedro Pascal, Katee Sackhoff, Carl Weathers, Emily Swallow, Amy Sedaris, and Giancarlo Esposito are returning cast members for The Mandalorian Season 3.
Variety reports, “Christopher Lloyd is also confirmed to make a cameo this season.” Lloyd is known for his role as Dr. Emmett “Doc” Brown in the Back to the Future film franchise.
Jon Favreau created The Mandalorian and is the head writer and executive producer for Season 3. David Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Rick Famuyiwa also serve as executive producers.
