The Mandalorian Season 3 Gets February 2023 Premiere Date

The Mandalorian and Grogu will return to the small screen early next year!

At Star Wars Celebration 2022’s Lucasfilm Studio Showcase, Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni joined Kathleen Kennedy, President of Lucasfilm, on stage to reveal some The Mandalorian and Ahsoka surprises. They shared that both shows will premiere in 2023 — with The Mandalorian Season 3 premiering in February. 

This wait may be unbearable for some fans since its second season streamed on Disney+ in 2020.

However, the sneak peek Lucasfilm debuted exclusively for the room at Star Wars Celebration suggested the wait would be worth it.

The teaser featured a look at Pedro Pascal in the titular role as Mando, Grogu, Bo-Katan, Greef Karga, and much more. According to reports, Din Djarin stated, “I’m going to Mandalore so that I may be forgiven for my transgressions.”

That singular line connotes a specific, rather intense tone for The Mandalorian‘s third season. But, there is something more light-hearted to look forward to since Season 3 will see Din Djarin and Grogu together again.

The dynamic (and adorable) duo reunited on The Book of Boba Fett when Grogu decided to leave a post-Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi Luke Skywalker, delay training, and reunite with Din Djarin.

Ahsoka, played by Rosario Dawson in the live-action series, also appeared on The Book of Boba Fett. However, the character made her live-action debut on The Mandalorian Season 2.

Ahsoka’s spin-off series is currently in production, so Dawson couldn’t be in attendance at Star Wars Celebration, but she did send a video for fans to the event.

It should be noted Rosario Dawson’s previously reported co-star, Hayden Christensen, is in attendance to promote Obi-Wan Kenobi. However, Christensen is staying silent about his involvement with Ahsoka, let alone the extent of his role.

Alongside The Mandalorian and Ahsoka news, Lucasfilm released a premiere date and teaser trailer for their upcoming series, Andor, and more. It’s a good time to be a Star Wars fan!
