Perry, Della, and Paul get wrapped in a case with far-reaching conspiracies when Perry Mason Season 2 premieres on HBO in March.

The HBO original drama series will debut its second season on Monday, March 6 at 9:00 pm on HBO. Afterward, the episode will be available to stream on HBO Max.

The season’s logline reveals that Perry Mason Season 2 picks up “months after the Dodson case has come to an end” and “the scion of a powerful oil family is brutally murdered.”

“When the DA goes to the city’s Hoovervilles to pinpoint the most obvious of suspects, Perry, Della, and Paul find themselves at the center of a case that will uncover far reaching conspiracies and force them to reckon with what it truly means to be guilty.”

The teaser trailer speaks to those themes, like when Della Street says, “There’s power in the truth. Guilty or not, everyone deserves a defense.”

However, Della is apprehensive about Mason taking on another murder trial so soon after the Dodson case. To which Mason presumably responds, “Maybe I like the stacked odds.”

The Perry Mason Season 2 teaser trailer also features Chris Chalk as Paul Drake and Justin Kirk as Hamilton Burger.

Burger and Hamilton go toe-to-toe about the validity of justice, and the trailer posits that their discussion ends with Burger asking Della, “Does everyone feel Mason hates them? Or just his friends?”

Francesca Orsi, Executive Vice President, HBO Programming, announced Perry Mason‘s Season 2 renewal in July 2020. The news came less than two months after Perry Mason Season 1 Episode 8, “Chapter Eight,” the debut season’s finale.

“It has been an exciting journey to work with the immensely talented team behind Perry Mason,” Orsi said at the time.

“Viewers have relished being transported back in time to 1930’s Los Angeles each week, and we are thrilled to welcome the show back for a second season,” Orsi added.

The series debut was “HBO’s most-watched series premiere in nearly two years.” At the time of the Season 2 announcement, Perry Mason Season 1 Episode 1, “Chapter One,” had “been seen by 8-million viewers.”
