Omar Metwally Exits ‘Big Sky’ Ahead of Season 3 Premiere
The Dewell & Hoyt team will be missing another colleague as Big Sky heads into Season 3.
Omar Metwally says so long to Montana and U.S. Marshall Mark Lindor in an unexpected exit from the drama series.
Metwally joined the cast of Big Sky late on the first season, Episode 10, “Catastrophic Thinking.” First, nosing in on the investigation into human trafficker and (cereal) killer, Ronald Pergman, Lindor soon became an ally.

His exit follows Jesse James Keitel’s towards the end of Big Sky Season 2. Keitel as Jerrie Kennedy had been one third of a love triangle along with Lindor and Cassie Dewell, played by Kylie Bunbury.
His dogged (pun intended) pursuit of Ronald was tempered by the romance equation and Lindor’s gentle nature. I must admit I was not too keen on the fella when he showed up but he had won me over in the end.
Showrunner Elwood Reid tells TV Line that Metwally’s exit came down to a scheduling conflict:
At the end of [Season 2], Omar came to me and he had this opportunity to be in an off-season play. And I said “sure.” I didn’t know if we were coming back. I didn’t know when we would come back.

Metwally had signed onto Brian Watkins’ play, Epiphany, and then Big Sky got its renewal news, going into production earlier than the season prior.
Don’t despair if you’re a fan of the character, Reid says Lindor may turn up in Helena again sometime down the road, but “not in this first group of episodes of [Season 3].”

I’m glad Lindor won’t be on the show anymore. I really hated how they paired him with Cassie – he looks so much older than her, its like she was dating a father figure. He’s a good actor but the character’s romantic arc was a little cringey.
I miss Lindor and jerrie!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
