‘Dollface’ Dropped By Hulu After Two Seasons
Grab your tissues because this latest tv show cancellation is going to hurt!
First reported by TV Line, it is confirmed Hulu will not move forward with the third season of Kat Dennings’ female-led comedy. With Dollface officially canceled, Season 2 will act as an impromptu finale for the series.
This cancellation news comes just three months after releasing the new season on the streaming platform in its entirety. The comedy series, which starred Kat Dennings, Brenda Song, Shay Mitchell, and Esther Povitsky, captivated female viewers with its empowering showcase of female friendship.

Season 2 witnessed Jules (Kat Dennings) and her best friends (Song, Mitchell, and Povitsky) continue to navigate the difficulties of keeping their tight friend group together as they navigate their demanding careers, active love lives, and inner doubts.
It was the kind of show you wish you had when you were younger, a show that could teach a generation of women how to navigate female relationships with compassion and support rather than as competition.
Dollface put friendship amongst its female ensemble first, ensuring that romantic relationships and career drama came second to those dynamics. It wasn’t always the funniest or the flashiest show out there, but it carved out a comforting and crucial space for the female demographic.
The show’s two seasons received mixed reviews from critics, averaging a 54% critical approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes but boasting a much stronger 78% audience approval rating.
Canceling a show before it has the chance to say goodbye is always brutal, but having Dollface‘s lively ensemble of women silenced in their prime feels especially difficult to process.
