Comedy Based on Alanis Morissette’s Life in Development at ABC
- Nineties kids rejoice, this is your moment! Rock star Alanis Morissette is working with ABC to develop a single camera comedy based on her life.
- Variety reports, the singer will executive produce Relatable alongside creators Elizabeth Beckwith (The Goldbergs) and Christopher Moynihan (Marlon). Beckwith is writing the pilot, while Moynihan will be showrunner.
- Morissette is most well known for her classic 1995 album “Jagged Little Pill,” which has been turned into a Broadway musical. She will also write original music for Relatable.
- Morissette is currently on the “Jagged Little Pill” 25th anniversary tour.

FOX Sets Winter Premiere Dates for ‘9-1-1: Lone Star,’ ‘Call Me Kat’
- Now that it’s finished airing the World Series and Thursday Night Football, FOX has announced January premiere dates for some of its new and returning series.
- Per TVLine, Gordon Ramsay debuts his newest cooking competition Next Level Chef with a special premiere Sunday, Jan. 2 at 8/7c.
- 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 3 takes over Mondays on Jan. 3 at 8/7c, where it is followed by new drama The Cleaning Lady at 9/8c.
- The network continues its reality Wednesdays on Jan. 5 with I Can See Your Voice Season 2 at 8/7c and Next Level Chef at its regular time 9/8c.
- Reality return Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer has its two hour premiere Thursday, Jan. 6 at 8/7c.
- Call Me Kat Season 2 is set for a special premiere Sunday, Jan. 9 at 8 ET/5 PT, followed by new comedy Pivoting at 8:30 ET/ 5:30 PT. The shows will then move to Thursdays on Jan. 13 where they follow Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer.
- Country music drama Monarch hits the stage Sunday, Jan. 30 at 10 ET/7 PT, then moves to its regular time Tuesday, Feb. 1 at 9/8c, where it follows The Resident.
- Note that all Sunday times are subject to football overruns.

‘Gossip Girl’ Season 1 Returns to HBO Max on Thanksgiving
- The privileged students and bitter teachers of Constance Billard are making their way back to HBO Max for the Thanksgiving holiday.
- TVLine reports, the second half of Gossip Girl Season 1 premieres Thursday, Nov. 25. The new episodes will find Julien and Zoya’s relationship more fractured than ever.
- The show will also have to deal with the fallout of Aki coming out to his parents, as well as the threesome between Audrey, Aki, and Max.
- Gossip Girl has been renewed for Season 2, but in the meantime Season 1 is streaming on HBO Max.

CBS Midseason Schedule Includes ‘The Amazing Race’ Return, ‘Good Sam’ Premiere
- CBS’ winter schedule features the return of its popular reality competitions, primetime game shows, and an anticipated medical drama, per Deadline.
- The new year begins with S.W.A.T. moving to Sundays on Jan. 2 at 10/9c.
- Following a long pandemic delay, The Amazing Race finally returns with Season 33 on Wednesday, Jan. 5 at 8/7c. It is joined by the debut of Good Sam, a medical drama starring Sophia Bush, at 10/9c.
- Undercover Boss Season 11 premieres Friday, Jan. 7 at 8/7c.
- The Price is Right at Night leads off Wednesdays on Jan. 12 at 8/7c, with The Amazing Race moving to its regular 9/8c time.
- Let’s Make a Deal Primetime takes over on Wednesday, Jan. 26 at 8/7c, then Celebrity Big Brother Season 3 premieres Wednesday, Feb. 2 at 8/7c, with Survivor Season 42 rotating in on Wednesday, March 9 at 8/7c.
- The network airs the Grammy Awards Monday, Jan. 31 at 8 ET/ 5 PT.

La Brea Renewed for Season 2 at NBC
- The NBC series starring Natalie Zea, Eoin Macken, Nicholas Gonzalez and Jon Seda has been renewed by NBC.
- La Brea focuses on a group of people who tumble into a massive sinkhole that suddenly opens in Downtown Los Angeles.
- La Brea was this fall’s top-rated freshman debut. The pilot episode, which aired Sept. 28, currently stands at a 3.6 in 18-49 and 19.8 million viewers.
- The La Brea Season 1 finale will air Tuesday, November 30th at 9/8c.

This Is Us Sets Final Season Premiere, plus more mid-season dates for NBC series
- This Is Us is set to return for its sixth and final season on Tuesday, January 4th at 9/8c.
- It will be followed by New Amsterdam at 10/9c.
- Kenan returns for a new season on Monday, January 3rd with back-to-back episodes. The comedy series will be followed by That’s My Jam and Ordinary Joe.
- Law & Order returns after a decade-long hiatus on Thursday, February 24th at 8/7c.
- One Chicago night stays intact, with a mid-season premiere on Wednesday, January 5th.

Lizzy Caplan to Star in ‘Fatal Attraction’ Series at Paramount+
- Classic ’80s thriller Fatal Attraction is getting a TV series update at Paramount+, and Lizzy Caplan is set to take on the lead role.
- According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fatal Attraction is “a deep-dive reimagining of the psychosexual thriller and explore themes including marriage and infidelity through the lens of modern attitudes toward strong women, personality disorders and coercive control.”
- Caplan will play Alex, the character made famous by Glenn Close in the 1987 feature film.
- The original Fatal Attraction starred Close as a woman who develops an unstable obsession with Michael Douglas’ Dan after they have an affair.
- She memorably declares she “won’t be ignored,” taking out her rage on the family’s pet bunny. Close received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress, but lost to Cher for Moonstruck.
- Caplan is best known for her work in Castle Rock, Inside Job, and Party Down.

Ava DuVernay, Robin Thede, Kenan Thompson Among Honorees at Critics Choice Association’s Celebration of Black Cinema & Television
- The Critics Choice Association has announced its honorees for its Celebration of Black Cinema & Television, and the list includes some of the biggest names in Black entertainment.
- Honorees include Ava DuVernay (Queen Sugar), Will Smith (King Richard), Antoine Fuqua, Ruth Negga (Passing), Danielle Brooks (Robin Roberts Presents: Mahalia), Omar Sy (Lupin), Robin Thede (A Black Lady Sketch Show), Toheeb Jimoh (Ted Lasso), Kenan Thompson (Saturday Night Live), Patina Miller (Power Book III: Raising Kanan), Natasha Rothwell (The White Lotus), Halle Berry, Anthony Anderson (black-ish), Jennifer Hudson (Respect), Barry Jenkins (The Underground Railroad), and the cast of The Harder They Fall.
- The ceremony takes place Monday, Dec. 6, with a TV broadcast to be announced later.
Gaius Charles Guest Stars on ‘Queens’
- It seems producers have heard our requests, because Queens is bringing on a TV favorite as a possible love interest for Valeria.
- According to TVLine, Gaius Charles (Friday Night Lights, Roswell, New Mexico) will guest star on Queens Season 1 as a “Thomas, a recording/sound engineer who’s smart and charming. He’s got a wealth of experience and is super professional… at first. Eventually, he just might develop a taste for some Butter Pecan.”
- Charles debuts as Thomas in Queens Season 1 Episode 9, and is set for two other episodes.
- It was also recently announced that series star Eve, who plays Brianna aka Professor Sex, will miss multiple Season 1 episodes when she goes on maternity leave. However, her exit will reportedly be open-ended, so she can return if the show is renewed for Season 2.
- Queens airs Tuesdays at 10/9c on ABC.

Disney+ Announces Upcoming Slate of Marvel Series
- On Disney Plus Day, the streamer announced several exciting premieres, including new Marvel Series.
- These upcoming series include Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, Ironheart, and Agatha: House of Darkness, among others.
