Netflix Orders ‘To All the Boys’ Spinoff ‘XO Kitty’
- Netflix isn’t done with the To All the Boys universe, as it has ordered the spinoff XO Kitty starring Anna Cathcart, per Variety.
- In the 10-episode, half-hour dramedy, “Kitty thinks she knows everything about love, but when she moves halfway across the world to reunite with her long-distance boyfriend, she soon realizes that relationships are a lot more complicated when it’s your own heart on the line.”
- Jenny Han, writer of the “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” books, co-wrote the pilot.
- To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You, and To All the Boys: Always and Forever are all available on Netflix.

Hayden Christensen Joins ‘Ahsoka’
- Anakin Skywalker will be reunited with his former padawan, with Hayden Christensen reportedly joining the Disney+ series Ahsoka.
- Ahsoka follows the former Jedi, played by Rosario Dawson. Dave Filoni is writing, as well as executive producing alongside Jon Favreau.
- The Mandalorian spinoff is also set five years after Return of the Jedi, so we’re guessing he will appear in either flashbacks or force visions.
- Christensen was previously announced to return to the Star Wars universe in Obi-Wan Kenobi starring Ewan McGregor. It’s set 10 years after Revenge of the Sith, while Obi-Wan is watching over Luke on Tatooine.
- Ahsoka will begin production in early 2022.

‘The Flash’ Releases First Trailer for ‘Armageddon’ Crossover
- The Arrowverse’s big multi-show crossovers may be on pause for right now, but that’s not stopping The Flash Season 8 from kicking off with a five-episode event featuring several of our favorite heroes.
- TVLine has the trailer for “Armageddon,” which finds Barry getting help against Despero (Tony Curran) as he proclaims he will end the world in seven days.
- Joining Flash to save the world is Cress Williams as Jefferson Pierce/Black Lightning (Black Lightning), Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/The ATOM (Legends of Tomorrow), Javicia Leslie as Ryan Wilder/Batwoman (Batwoman), Katherine McNamara as Mia Smoak/Green Arrow (Arrow), Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers/Sentinel (Supergirl), and Osric Chau as Ryan Choi (“Crisis on Infinite Earths”).
- “Armageddon” also includes familiar villains, as Tom Cavanagh will be back as Eobard Thawne/Reverse Flash, alongside Neal McDonough as Damien Darhk.
- The Flash Season 8 premieres Tuesday, Nov. 16 at 8/7c on The CW.
Claire Holt Brings Rebekah to ‘Legacies’
- Hope will be getting a visit from her aunt, as Claire Holt will return as Rebekah Mikaelson on Legacies.
- TVLine reports, Holt will appear on the Nov. 11 episode, reprising the character she played on The Vampire Diaries and The Originals.
- Per the episode description: “Hope is tracked down by the one person who could help her — Rebekah Mikaelson. Rebekah is fearful of what path Hope has chosen but makes every effort to get through to her. Josie and Lizzie hold out hope in a seemingly dire situation as MG figures out what he can do to help. Meanwhile, Kaleb wants to set things right and turns to Cleo for guidance.”
- When we last saw Rebekah in The Originals Season 5 Episode 13, “When the Saints Go Marching In,” she got engaged to Marcel and was waiting for her chance to take the vampire cure, so she could live a natural human life.
- Rebekah isn’t the first Mikaelson to visit Legacies, as Riley Voelkel previously appeared as Freya.
- Legacies airs Thursdays at 9/8c on The CW.

‘Mythic Quest’ gets Two Season Renewal at Apple TV+
- Apple TV+ wants to know what’s next for the Mythic Quest team, because it has renewed the comedy for two seasons, per The Hollywood Reporter.
- Co-creator/star Rob McElhenney made the announcement in a hilarious social media video, which features cameos from Anthony Hopkins and Jason Sudeikis.
- “Just like critics and audiences all over the world, we fell in love with Rob and his team’s sharp writing and full-of-heart, relatable characters that make up the world of Mythic Quest,” said Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple TV+. “We can’t wait for viewers to see what’s in store in the upcoming seasons of this brilliant workplace comedy.”
- Mythic Quest is available on Apple TV+.

CBS Gives Full Season Order to ‘Ghosts’
- CBS has been charmed by the spirits in its new comedy Ghosts, with the network giving the series a full-season pick-up, per The Hollywood Reporter.
- Ghosts joins new dramas NCIS: Hawai’i and FBI: International as CBS’ other early full-season orders.
- With production schedules still being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, there’s no word on how many episodes make up a full season.
- Ghosts stars Rose McIver and Utkarsh Ambudkar as a married couple who inherit a big estate outside New York City, which turns out to be haunted by the ghosts of people who have died on the property. After a fall, McIver’s Sam is able to see the ghosts, and hilarity ensues.
- “We’re thrilled this spirited new comedy has struck a chord with viewers and critics alike and is off to a great start,” said Thom Sherman, senior executive VP programming at CBS Entertainment. “We’ve loved Ghosts since day one, and thank the outstanding executive producers, cast and writers for skillfully bringing to life the boldest, most unique comedy you’ll find anywhere on television this season.”
- Ghosts airs Thursdays at 9/8c on CBS.

Mel Brooks to Write, EP ‘History of the World Part II’ for Hulu
- Mel Brooks is revisiting one of his classic films for a new Hulu comedy series. Variety reports, Brooks will write and executive produce History of the World Part II at Hulu.
- The original 1981 movie featured memorable comedy skits in the Stone Age, Ancient Rome, and French Revolution. The series will be a sequel with new segments in new time periods.
- Brooks will be working with Nick Kroll, Wanda Sykes, Ike Barinholtz, David Stassen, and Kevin Salter.
- The 95-year-old Brooks is the comedic genius behind classics like Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles, and Spaceballs.
- History of the World Part I is currently available to rent on Amazon Video.
