Preview — Supergirl Season 6 Episode 15: Hope for Tomorrow
Nyxly kidnaps William as leverage as the race to the hope totem heats up on Supergirl Season 6 Episode 15, “Hope for Tomorrow.”
It’s a bit bizarre to put the Super Friends to the test to save William an episode after he was embedded at the Tower. Then again, the team will do whatever they can to save anyone, even if the dynamics aren’t solidified yet.
Regardless of leverage and motive, the hope totem has to be the one that Nyxly doesn’t get to first. Supergirl is the Paragon of Hope. This totem and its gauntlet are made for her.
On top of that, “Hope for Tomorrow” gives us what this final season needs — more of Kara at CatCo. It’s likely that Kara and Nyxly are only at CatCo to set up William’s kidnapping.
It may be naive to believe there are more scenes on that set than just the primary ones of the hour, but the episode is titled “Hope for Tomorrow.” Anything is possible.
Kara is going to need some hope, too, if she ends up facing Andrea’s rath she usually reserves for William. Kara must be well past her deadlines on everything at this point.
Plus, Alex faces her biggest challenge yet. There’s little to go on with the photos and promo video, but fingers crossed it’s parenting Esme. Give us all the callbacks to when Alex used to watch Sam’s daughter Ruby!

Episode description: Supergirl continues to fight Nyxly for the remaining totems but after Nyxly kidnaps William, Supergirl realizes she needs to take a more proactive stance to keep National City safe. Meanwhile, Alex faces the biggest challenge of her life. The episode was directed by Tawnia McKiernan with story by Robert Rovner and teleplay by Emilio Ortega Aldrich & Nicki Holcomb.
