What to Expect from The Way Home Season 4 Episode 8: Tainted Love
As Kat desperately tries to figure out how to bring Elliot home, he continues to seek answers in the past on The Way Home Season 4 Episode 8, “Tainted Love.”
As we race to the series finale of The Way Home, the stakes continue to rise with each new episode. The Way Home Season 4 Episode 7, “Working My Way Back to You,” left viewers with perhaps the biggest cliffhanger of the season.
Initially, the most dramatic development on “Working My Way Back to You” seemed to be Elliot getting stuck in the past and the race to save him. However, there was so much more to the situation than Elliot and Kat getting separated at the pond.
It turns out that Elliot saw a picture of himself being arrested as a bootlegger under a different name before he jumped. That means he knew he was going to stay in the past when he jumped with Kat.
Understandably, Elliot didn’t tell Kat what he knew before they jumped. Kat would no doubt have done everything in her power to prevent him from staying. But, apparently, that was not what he wanted.
Elliot wanted to stay in the past to get answers from his mother, and maybe even reconnect with her. He needs to know why she left him, and the best way to do that is to stay in the 20s with her.
Hopefully, Elliot’s search for answers will also give viewers a few more. For as many answers as we have gotten in the past few episodes, there are still some big ones left, and even some new ones.
On “Working My Way Back to You,” viewers saw Tessa and Griffin’s first meeting, but we still don’t know what led them to jump in the pond and leave Elliot behind. Tessa is not telling Elliot the whole story, or really much of anything yet.
Still, Griffin was the only thing from the future that Tessa asked Elliot about, which suggests there is a lot more to learn about those two.
If all the drama between Elliot, Kat, and Tessa wasn’t enough, it also seems that after seeing Kat in a film reel, Evelyn is still suspicious. Now she not only has questions about Kat, but appears to be asking them about Alice, too.
Will she figure out that Alice and Kat are time travelers? Will Elliot get the answers he’s looking for, and how will Kat rescue the love of her life?
