Welcome to a new week and another round of What to Watch on TV for the week of September 19th! This will be a special super-stuffed edition as fall TV looms. We’ll be sharing our picks for what to watch this week, from marathons to big guest spots, and significant episodes of TV to look forward to while stuck inside.
This week’s picks include the return of the fall TV avalanche including Law & Order’s big crossover, One Chicago’s return, Mike Flanagan’s latest Netflix entry Midnight Mass, and more.

9-1-1 (8/7c on Fox)

The first responders are back and ready to deal with the latest threat of devastation to those living in the area when a helicopter crashes into a hospital, and trouble occurs with air traffic control. 9-1-1 returns Monday, September 20 at 8/7c on Fox.
Episode Description: A series of ransomware threats leads to emergencies for the 118, including a helicopter crash at a hospital and an air traffic control tower system failure; the case of the realtor serial rapist goes to trial.
Bob Hearts Abishola (8:30/7:30c on CBS)

Sharpwin nation, it’s finally time to see the aftermath of Max’s decision and his run back to Helen’s door, culminating from seasons worth of tension as the pair find themselves navigating a new kind of normal in their relationship. New Amsterdam returns Tuesday, September 21 at 10/9c on NBC.

One Chicago is back and ready to deal with secret investigations, medical emergencies, the aftermath of cover-ups, and more. Chicago Med kicks off the night Wednesday, September 22 at 8/7c on NBC.
Episode Description: Halstead returns to Med to help Goodwin with a secret investigation; Archer and Charles deal with twins who insist on being identical inside and out; Stevie and Dylan treat a young patient with sickle cell anaemia.
The Wonder Years (8:30/7:30c on ABC)

Chicago P.D. (10/9c on NBC)

Dear White People: Season 4 (Netflix)

Thursday, September 23:
Doom Patrol (HBO Max)

Michelle Gomez joins the cast for the latest season of this superhero series. Madame Rouge arrives at a time when the team finds themselves at a crossroads in the aftermath of a loss. What will the team decide and what has Madame Rouge traveled to this time for? Doom Patrol returns Thursday, September 23 on HBO Max.
Season Description: Season three opens on the culmination of Dorothy’s (Abigail Shapiro) confrontation with the Candlemaker that leads to a devastating loss. The Doom Patrol is at a difficult crossroads and each member struggles to face who they are and who they want to be. Midnight Mass (Netflix)

The latest entry in the Flanagan-verse is a limited series that tells the story of a young man’s return to a small island town after being exiled; only for him to find something’s changed among the residents of the town with the arrival of a mysterious priest. What’s behind everything happening? Midnight Mass premieres Friday, September 24 on Netflix.
