Preview — Supergirl Season 6 Episode 13: The Gauntlet

The Paragon of Hope must pass the test of courage to stop Nyxly on Supergirl Season 6 Episode 13, “The Gauntlet.” 

The tone of the promo video suggests that this episode will take a page out of Legends of Tomorrow‘s book and see the Super Friends not take themselves so seriously. 

It looks like at least some of “The Gauntlet” will be fun and games while Kara’s friends are overwhelmed with courage. It appears as though Kara and Lena are the only ones not affected by the immense courage.

Maybe’s Kara’s test is to guide her friends through this event, but she won’t be doing it alone.

It’s been a while since SuperCorp have teamed up, and it’ll be really powerful for them to gather a better understanding of courage together.

As for Nyxly, her courage test looks like it’ll involve a mindscape that sends her back to her past, or she’ll have to deal with her past, while we learn about via flashbacks.

Either way, these flashbacks that show us rather than tell us abot Nyxly’s past could be what Supergirl needs to give her story some more momentum.

Episode description: Supergirl and team race Nyxly for control of a magical totem that controls courage. Supergirl and Nyxly battle and each get a piece of the totem but learn the first person to pass the test of courage will gain control of the entire thing. Meanwhile, Lena is still struggling to make sense of her newfound gift.
