Caity Lotz is back in the director’s seat for Legends Of Tomorrow Season 6 Episode 5, “The Satanist’s Apprentice.”

“The Satanist’s Apprentice” — Lotz’s second outing as director for the series — checks in on Astra as she tries to make a life on earth. But, life after Hell isn’t as easy as she thought it would be.

Astra has never been the most patient character, so it isn’t surprising that she looks for a magical solution when things don’t immediately go her way.

There are no clues in the promo or preview photos as to who this “new friend” of Astra’s is or what they offer her. It does, however, look like somehow John ends up in a suit from the early 20th century.

Is this possibly a call back to Legends of Tomorrow Season 5 Episode 14, The One Where We’re Trapped on TV,” when John and Astra were stuck in a Downton Abbey-style period drama?

Elsewhere on “The Satanist’s Apprentice,” we’ll finally check in with Sara again. The last time we saw Sara, on Legends of Tomorrow, Season 6 Episode 3, “The Ex-Factor,” she wasn’t in great shape.

Weak from the effects of a venomous bite from an alien Amelia Earhart, Sara had followed an Ava clone to a mysterious stranger who seemed to know what was going on.

Will this new stranger have answers for us? Also, while it’s good to see Sara getting medical treatment for her bite in the preview photos, why is she in restraints?

Episode description: With Astra now a mortal, she finds it hard to adapt to the real world with no guidance from Constantine. Frustrated and lonely, Astra makes a new friend who promises to help her, but her eagerness for the easy way out could have some real repercussions for those closest to her. Meanwhile, Sara meets the person responsible for her kidnapping and tries to convince others to help her escape.
