Chicago P.D. Sneak Peek: Is There Hope for Burgess and Ruzek?

Is there a chance for Burgess and Ruzek to get back together once and for all?

On Chicago P.D. Season 8 Episode 5, “In Your Care,” the two partners discuss their romantic status. As the two are getting coffee, and just after a conversation about Ruzek’s new beard oil, Burgess wonders if they are just accepting the fact that they sleep together every six months or so.

While Ruzek says that would be okay with him, he suggests that perhaps they should try dating instead. “We already act like a couple. Is it so crazy that we try again?” Ruzek asks her. 

Burgess responds that she knows what she wants now.

“I want all of it, Adam. I want the proposal, I want getting married in some bad banquet hall, I want to have babies, I want the job, I want the mess, I want the whole thing,” she tells him. “Still want to talk to me about dating?”

It seems promising, especially considering Ruzek’s response, but things are never quite that simple for these two, either.
