Lucifer Season 5 Part 1 -- Chloe Decker Top 10 Chloe Decker Moments from ‘Lucifer’ Season 5 Part 1 Lucifer Season 5 Part 1 -- Chloe Decker

Top 10 Chloe Decker Moments from ‘Lucifer’ Season 5 Part 1

Lists, Lucifer

Lucifer Season 5 Part 1 delivers an impeccable season full of twists as we see Lucifer’s return to stop his twin, Michael, from ruining his life on earth and everything he loves.

Chloe learns the truth about her existence, Dan learns the hard way that heaven and Hell aren’t a myth, new powers emerge, and long lost daughters/mothers are found.

Let’s face it, every moment of Lucifer Season 5 Part 1 is a great one because our favorite characters are back after a long hiatus, but here are my top moments of the season, in chronological order, for our favorite detective, Chloe Decker:

1. Nightclub Relaxation (Season 5 Episode 1)

Screen Shot 2020-09-05 at 7.34.06 PM

Chloe is always busy with drama, whether it be her own or Lucifer’s, and she is someone who never takes the time to treat herself, which is why it’s nice to see her partying with Maze. With Lucifer back in hell, it gives her the prime opportunity to take advantage of the single life.

I want more scenes like this, except I want them as full episodes. I want to see Chloe genuinely enjoying her life once in a while. A road trip with Lucifer and Trixie would make for good TV.

2. Chloe’s Marvelous Lucifer Impression (Season 5 Episode 2)

Screen Shot 2020-09-05 at 7.27.24 PM

Throughout the series, we’ve seen Chloe do small impressions of Lucifer, but never to this extent. Chloe’s jazzed up personality is exactly how Lucifer acts on a day to day basis — something that Michael would know if he actually did any recon on Lucifer before trying to take over his life.

Michael assumes that Lucifer would be professional working for the police, which is one of the funniest parts. It’s hilarious to watch Chloe act outside of her own nature because she’s normally so strict. Her trying to stir up drama between him and Dan with the pudding is the funniest moment.

3. Chloe Shoots Michael (Season 5 Episode 2)

Screen Shot 2020-09-05 at 7.27.53 PM

It’s hard to watch Chloe deal with Michael, knowing that she knows he’s a fake, and wonder when she’ll finally confront him. From the first moment they meet, it’s clear that he isn’t Lucifer, and you can tell from her face that she’s known the entire time as well.

The real Lucifer would’ve been ecstatic to be kissing her, but I’m glad that it doesn’t take Chloe long to put her theory to the test because Michael taking a few bullets to the chest is just a piece of what he deserves. It’s easily one of my favorite scenes of the season because it comes out of nowhere and makes me laugh every time.

4. A Blessing Revealed (Season 5 Episode 5)

Screen Shot 2020-09-05 at 7.24.07 PM

This is a big moment in Chloe’s storyline because she’s finally completely aware of her origin story.

As she takes in the news of Amenadiel being the angel who placed the blessing on her mother, it’s only natural that she equates that to him being her father, and seeing his face is even funnier after he’s asked.

However, this is a very confusing moment in her life as she grasps with the reality of being a chosen vessel from God and believing her only reason for existence is to please Lucifer.

You really feel for her. Personally, I am down with her thought process when it comes to wanting laser hands. She should have been given something more than just having a connection with Lucifer considering she’s supposed to be this divine subject.

5. Standing Her Ground (Season 5 Episode 3)

Screen Shot 2020-09-05 at 7.26.07 PM

I’m so happy that Chloe puts her foot down and puts Lucifer in his place for being selfish because by this point it’s only been building up. He’s so consumed with himself that he acknowledges Chloe’s troubles and then subsequently runs right past them into his own.

Chloe is a human that is still grasping with the fact that she loves the devil, and now she’s just been told that she was never even supposed to exist.

Her sole purpose for being alive is to cater to the devil, at least that’s what she thinks. Instead of trying to talk with her to figure things out, Lucifer continues to act like it isn’t a big deal.

He can’t understand how she doesn’t feel like a real person anymore, which is why it is so rewarding when Chloe stands her ground and makes Lucifer see things from her perspective.

6. Cat and Mouse No More (Season 5 Episode 6)

Screen Shot 2020-09-05 at 7.22.55 PM

Chloe finally allowing herself to say yes to her desires and sleeping with Lucifer is one of the bigger decisions she’s had to make during Season 5 Part 1 because she’s accepting the fact that her attraction to Lucifer isn’t a curse but a blessing.

She’s the only one who gets to see him for who he truly is and can’t be glamoured by his powers or devilish good looks. This is a big moment for her because it’s a personal issue that she’s been dealing with for quite a while.

After all, her feelings for him didn’t show up overnight. She was not enthralled with him in the beginning. She had to sit and rethink every interaction they ever had and wonder if it was real or if she was seeing through blind eyes.

I, personally, love that they’ve consummated the relationship because it’s been a long time coming, and I’m ready for them to be a lovey-dovey couple full-time.

7. Mojo Nomo (Season 5 Episode 7)

Screen Shot 2020-09-05 at 7.19.56 PM

Whelp, Chloe did ask for a superpower; I’m just not sure that this is what she meant when she asked for it. This is a huge plot twist that changes the game for how the show continues from here on out because her ability to use his abilities back on him all depends on how vulnerable he is around her.

Her stealing his mojo is a real eye-opener to see just how Lucifer feels when it comes to having his whole life revolve around her. Instead of having a freak out session with Chloe because she “took” his powers, he could’ve been excited to learn more about why it happened because it’s obvious it’s never happened with anyone else he’s slept with.

I think Chloe also genuinely deserves some advantage in the relationship and being able to make Lucifer tell the truth is a big one.

8. Home Sweet Home (Season 5 Episode 7)

Screen Shot 2020-09-05 at 7.21.22 PM

Chloe going home to Lucifer’s at the end of the night is so adorable because it shows how open and invested she is in the relationship. She knows where she feels the most comfortable, the most at ease, and that’s with Lucifer.

She’s used to her professional and personal life revolving around him, so it makes sense that now they’ve made it official, she’d come to spend her nights with him as well.

It doesn’t just excite me that they’re going all-in on the relationship; it makes me giddy because it’s crazy to see where they began and where they are now.

She still has her reservations, just like anyone, but overall she’s overcome most of her fears of a relationship with Lucifer and is allowing herself to be happy. But, that always comes with risks when you’re dating the devil, especially when he won’t profess his love back to her.

9. Second Serial Killer (Season 5 Episode 8)

Screen Shot 2020-09-05 at 7.17.45 PM

Chloe Decker is a great detective. She is a pro at the game, and her drive for justice doesn’t allow her to stop until the villain is caught, which is why she’s the one who finds out that there’s a second serial killer on the loose.

I love watching Chloe in action because the way she handles herself is mesmerizing, not even Lucifer can stop her from following a gut feeling. She always listens to her gut, which is just one of the reasons why she’s fantastic at her job.

It would’ve been more exciting for it to have been Pete who kidnapped Chloe, and it would have allowed Chloe the chance to fight him. Because you know Chloe would have kicked his ass, and it would have been so amazing to watch.

10. Chloe Pours Her Heart Out (Season 5 Episode 8)

Screen Shot 2020-09-05 at 7.15.05 PM

This ending scene between Chloe and Lucifer in the finale is such an important moment for me because this is where Chloe risks it all.

Over the past 5 seasons, their relationship has built up to its boiling point, and now it exploded. She has gone all-in, expressed how she feels for him, and has allowed herself to fall and finally make it official, but he isn’t reciprocating those feelings in the way she needs (and deserves).

Lucifer easily forgets that Chloe is a mortal and not a demon, nor an angel. Him not saying “I love you” is a big thing for her because she’s basically moved her entire life into his, yet he can’t say that or stop calling her detective.

However, my heart stopped when Lucifer said Chloe’s name to stop her from rambling and almost utters those three magical words until Amenadiel ruins it.

Chloe’s storyline has been a fun one to follow so far, and we’re eager to see what will come in season Lucifer Season 5 Part 2. What are your favorite Chloe moments from the season? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
