The fall finales have us on the edge of our seats, and while we may be worried about the fate of some of our favorite characters, we also have a lot to look forward to. 

Networks have started to tease new seasons and series premiering in 2020, and more series have been ordered. 

Plus, a few new guest star announcements have us very excited about what’s to come.

Stargirl episodes will air on The CW and digital platforms after DC Universe debut. According to Deadline, Stargirl will be the first DC universe series to air on linear television. It will also play on the non-linear digital platforms after it airs on the DC Universe’s subscription service. The series will star Brec Bassinger in the title role and is set to make its debut in the second quarter of 2020. 

M. Night Shyamalan’s Servant has been renewed by Apple ahead of its premiere next week. Deadline reports that the psychological thriller now joins Dickinson, See, and For All Mankind which have all scored early renewals for second seasons. The first three episodes of Servant will premiere Thursday, November 28th with new episodes rolling out every Friday.

Servant - Season 1 Episode 1

Netflix has given a series order to Maid. According to Deadline, the streamer has picked up the series based on Stephanie Land’s memoir Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay, and a Mother’s Will to Survive. Molly Smith Metzler (Shameless, Orange is the New Black) is writing the project and it is being produced by John Wells Productions, Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap Entertainment, and Warner Bros. Television. 

Hulu has canceled Marvel’s RunawaysThe news broke on the show’s Twitter account this week when the streamer released the final season trailer. This news comes after Freeform canceled Marvel’s Cloak & DaggerFans can see the final season of Marvel’s Runaways when the season premieres on December 13th. Harrison Ford has signed on to topline The Staircase series for Annapurna TV. Variety reports exclusively that the documentary will be based on the 2004 documentary that Netflix began streaming last year. The documentary detailed the 2001 trial of American novelist Michael Peterson who was accused of murdering his wife. The project is already being shopped around to networks and streaming services.

The long-awaited Doctor Who Season 12 trailer has dropped. The twelveth installment of the reincarnated series was released on November 23rd, the shows 37th birthday. The trailer teases the return of The Doctor and her fam as well as debuting a new cyberman design and teasing some new guest stars. The new season of Doctor Who is scheduled to return in early 2020.

Inbar Lavi will be making her way to Stumptown. Variety reports that Lavi will play Max, a skilled and thrill-seeking car thief that is wrapped up in an auto-theft ring. Lavi was last seen playing Eve on Lucifer and played the lead role in the NBC series The Imposters
