Hulu Cancels Marvel’s ‘Runaways’, Releases Final Trailer

Good news and bad news for Marvel’s Runaways fans.

The bad news first: Hulu announced that the Marvel series will not be returning for a season 4. The announcement came via the television show’s Twitter account.

“The stakes have never been higher. Marvel’s Runaways returns for its final season,” the account shared in the tweet. 

The news comes after another Marvel series, Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger, was canceled at Freeform and Marvel’s TV division came under new leadership as Jeph Loeb was replaced by Kevin Feige, who oversaw much of the cinematic universe’s development. 

Now for some (relatively) good news: Hulu has released the final trailer for the show’s final season adding more insight into what was teased during New York Comic-Con’s first trailer.

The new trailer dives in a bit more to what brought on Tyrone and Tandy’s appearance in the Hostel. It seems like a disturbance between the darkness and the light bring the Divine Pairing to Nico, who is none too excited to welcome relative strangers in. 

There are also teases of the fates of some of the PRIDE parents, from Catherine in an orange jumpsuit to Robert in a hospital bed, it looks like there will be no shortage of interesting twists and turns for the parents.

That’s nothing compared to what seems to be coming the Runaways’ way, from more of Morgan Le Fay’s interactions with them to what appears to be Gert getting more in touch with Old Lace, and plenty of shots of downtrodden looks from the kids.

Marvel’s Runaways returns for its final season Friday, December 13 on Hulu.
