Single Parents Review: Xander and Camille (Season 2 Episode 7)
Angie makes the mother of all bad decisions on Single Parents Season 2 Episode 7, “Xander and Camille.” However, her mistake brings us, and Douglas, so much joy.
Angie hooking up with Douglas’ son is the perfect combination of shock and hilarity. You don’t know whether to be hung up on the son twist or Angie’s terrible luck.
The secret son bombshell works. It isn’t too outlandish that Xander and Douglas had an argument, and that’s why we haven’t heard of Xander before.

This whole storyline is a ton of fun, which is such a relief after the boredom of Angie and Poppy’s storyline on Single Parents Season 2 Episode 6, “Welcome to Hell, Sickos!”
They have some much-needed girl time, which allows for an update on Poppy and Douglas’ relationship.
We haven’t really seen them together, in a romantic setting, since Single Parents Season 2 Episode 4, “Big Widow Wives,” and so it is great to get an update and to find out that they are doing well.

We don’t need to watch Douglas and Poppy go on every single date, but we can’t pretend they don’t exist as a couple during episodes where their romance isn’t a key storyline.
“Xander and Camille” shows Douglas and Poppy being a little flirty towards each other and Poppy referencing how things are going to a (disgusted) Angie. This is a great way to go about checking in on Douglas and Poppy.
Neither moment takes up a lot of time, but they each give us a good look at where Poppy and Douglas are in their relationship.

Miggy learning the art of discipline from Will is as amazing as it sounds. The two of them are a fun pair, and it is always great to see them hanging out.
Miggy and Will should definitely come up with a parenting guide that describes each method or trick as a certain style of music. Also, side note, but where is Jack during all of this? Napping?
Graham may just be the surprise MVP of the hour — he’s tied with Camille.

We see a brand new side of him when he is forced to go outside. Seeing as how we’re used to Graham being afraid of most things, this vindictive side of him is a welcomed surprise.
As Rory says, Graham gets a lot more interesting.
Rory: A dragonfly just buzzed by my head. Are we even safe?
It would have been predictable if Rory was the mastermind behind the scheme. Having Graham take charge is unexpected, and it leads to a lot of laughs.
Hopefully, this isn’t the last time we see a parents vs. kids situation. It would be a lot of fun to see a coup happen. Can you imagine if Emma and Amy worked with this new, angrier side of Graham?
The parents would be screwed.
