EH Con 2019 Preview: ‘Wynonna Earp’ Fans Are Ready to Celebrate
A collective cheer broke out across Twitter from fans of the Syfy show Wynonna Earp when it was finally announced that after months in limbo production of Season 4 was scheduled to begin in November.
In the months leading up to the announcement fans, or Earpers as they’re known, launched a passionate campaign to save the beloved series. It was a campaign that included buying billboards in Time Square and LA., all of which made the show’s ultimate victory that much sweeter.

But Earpers are more than just a collection of fans passionate about a TV show. They’re a tight-knit community of friends and found family and their excitement soon expanded from social media to the real world with Earpers meeting up in Time Square, or Earp Square as it was dubbed, and at San Diego Comic-Con.
As luck would have it, Earper Homestead Convention Canada (EH Con) is scheduled to take place from August 9th to the 11th in Toronto, right on the heels of the season four announcement. Earpers from all over the world will soon have a chance to celebrate their little show that could together.

EH Con, now entering its second year, is one of a flurry of mostly fan run Wynonna Earp conventions and the only one based in Canada where the show is filmed.
While every Earper convention is a unique and special experience for fans there’s no doubt EH Con 2019 will be particularly meaningful, taking place so soon after fan hashtags changed from #FightForWynonna to #WinForWynonna.
Tell-Tale TV is thrilled to be headed to Toronto this year to cover the celebration for everyone that can’t be there in person.
So, what can con-goers expect from this year’s EH Con? Well, even with the full schedule still to be released the weekend is already jam-packed with guests, panels, and other activities. Here’s a quick overview of what’s been announced so far:
Guests

Because of its Toronto location, where many of the cast live and/or work, EH Con is in a unique position to be able to host quite an extensive roster of guests. Giving Back

It’s become a somewhat unspoken tradition at all of the fan-run Earp cons to provide ways for attendees to give back to the community through things like fundraisers, silent auctions, volunteer events, and charity raffles. Keeping in that tradition, EH Con has announced four different efforts benefiting multiple organizations.
Announced Charity Efforts
- Glo-Bowling & Silent Auction Fundraiser: The night before the con begins (8/8) EH Con is partnering with Earp It Forward (again, full disclosure I am part of the team planning this event) to host a charity bowling night to raise money for the Toronto based organization Sistering. In addition to the funds raised from registration, there will be a silent auction during the event with those proceeds also going to Sistering.
- Fangirl Shirts Punraiser Run: The women behind Fangirl Shirts are hosting another run/walk for charity. This year the money raised will go to the Toronto based youth shelter, Covenant House.
- Toiletry Drive: Along with the charity run/walk to raise money for Covenant House, EH Con is also sponsoring a toiletry drive for the shelter. They are asking attendees to bring their own shampoos, soaps, etc. so that the travel-sized ones provided by the hotel can be donated to Covenant House.
- Leash and Collar Drive: Partnering with EH Con guest Kate Drummond, EH Con will collect gently used leashes, collars, dog bowls & accessories (accessories like toys must be new) that will be donated to the animal welfare groups DIBS (Dogs In Better Spots), B.A.R.K Ottawa, and The Snoopi Project.
