August has rolled in with a lot of 13 Reasons Why news. Netflix announced today that the drama will receive and fourth and final season ahead of the Season 3 premiere.

It also announced that the third season will premiere on Friday, August 23rd, dropping a new trailer with a spoiler for a big death that will be the center of the season.

According to TV Line, Netflix announced the third season will follow Clay, Tony, Jessica, Alex, Justin, and Zach as they shoulder the burden of the cover-up after preventing Tyler from committing an unthinkable act during Spring Fling.

While Tyler moves towards recovery, Clay finds himself under police scrutiny after a football player disappears during a tumultuous Homecoming. An outsider steers the group as the investigation threatens to expose everyone’s secrets. 

The official synopsis does not disclose the death of that will be at the center of this outing of the series, but the trailer depicts the students of Liberty High standing around a casket as the series asks, “Who killed Bryce Walker?”

13 Reasons Why made headlines last month when Netflix decided to remove the suicide scene from Season 1 in response to a study that linked it to a rise in teen suicide.

Series creator Brian Yorkey said on 13 Reasons Why Twitter account, “No one scene is more important than the life of the show, and its message that we must take better care of each other.”
