There are plenty of familiar faces getting ready to show up on our TV screens this Fall, many of them taking on entirely new roles and a few coming back in the wave of TV revivals and spinoffs.
But Fall TV is also bringing plenty of newcomers and new concepts this year. We’re narrowing down some of the most intriguing network, cable, and streaming dramas and comedies.
No matter your tastes, there’s something for you on our list of new Fall TV shows to watch this season.
Here are 20 new Fall TV shows you should definitely watch.
1. Mayans M.C.

Set in a post-Jax Teller world, Mayans M.C. is the next chapter in the Sons of Anarchy saga. Ezekiel “EZ” Reyes (JD Pardo) is fresh out of prison and a prospect in the Mayans M.C. charter on the Cali/Mexi border. Now, he has to carve out his new identity in a town where he was once the golden boy.
Mayans M.C. recently premiered on September 4th and airs Tuesdays on FX.
2. YOU

From the executive producers of Riverdale comes the newest Lifetime Series, YOU. YOU tells the 21st-Century love story about an obsessive 20-something-year-old who uses the technology of the digital age to make the woman of his dreams fall in love with him.
From the trailer, it’s easy to get the feeling that we’ll all be rethinking our social media account settings after this series premieres.
YOU premieres Sunday, September 9th on Lifetime.
3. Kidding

Jim Carrey is reunited with executive producer Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) for his first series regular role in more than two decades.
On the half-hour comedy, Carrey plays Jeff, aka Mr. Pickles, a children’s television icon. When this beloved personality’s family begins to implode, Jeff finds no fairytale, fable, or puppet will guide him through the crisis.
Kidding premieres Sunday, September 9th on Showtime.
4. Forever

On this new comedy heading to Amazon, married couple June (Maya Rudolph) and Oscar (Fred Armisen) have been living a comfortable but predictable life in suburban Riverside, California for 12 years, but after June talks Oscar into shaking things up with a ski trip, the pair suddenly find themselves in unfamiliar territory.
Forever is described as “an utterly original, insightful and poignant comedy about love, commitment, and marriage.”
Forever premieres Friday, September 14th on Amzon Prime Video.
5. I Feel Bad

From executive producer Amy Poehler, I Feel Bad follows Emet, a mom, boss, wife, friend, and daughter who’s just trying to figure out life like everyone else. This modern comedy is about being perfectly OK with being imperfect.
I Feel Bad premieres Wednesday, September 19th on NBC.
6. Manifest

One simple decision can ruin your life. A flight that’s been missing for five and a half years suddenly returns with all of the passengers having no memory of where they’ve been, and thinking only hours have passed.
Three members of the Stone family attempt to reconnect with friends and family who have mourned their loss, all while asking what really happened on that plane. With a premise that is being described as “Lost in reverse” Manifest seems like a promising program for viewers who love a bit of science fiction and mystery in their programming.
Manifest premieres Monday, September 24th on NBC.
7. New Amsterdam

Inspired by Bellevue Hospital, New Amsterdam follows Dr. Max Goodwin as he becomes the medical director of one of the country’s oldest public hospitals. He’s determined to break some rules of medicine for the better, favoring exceptional care over pointless politics.
But change is never easy, especially when your hospital is understaffed, underfunded, and under-appreciated.
New Amsterdam premieres Tuesday, September 25th on NBC.
8. Single Parents

Single Parents is an ensemble comedy that follows a group of single parents as they lean on each other to help raise their 7-year-old kids, while also trying to have personal lives outside of parenthood.
The comedy series stars Taran Killam as Will Cooper, Leighton Meester as Angie D’Amato, Kimrie Lewis as Poppy Banks, Jake Choi as Miggy Park, Marlow Barkley as Sophie Cooper, Tyler Wladis as Graham D’Amato, Devin Trey Campbell as Rory Banks, Mia Allan as Emma Fogerty, Ella Allan as Amy Fogerty and Brad Garrett as Douglas Fogerty.
Single Parents premieres Wednesday, September 26th on ABC.
9. The Cool Kids
The Cool Kids is multi-camera comedy coming to FOX about a rowdy group of friends living in a retirement community who are willing to break all of the rules just to have some fun. And really, who can blame them? The new comedy series stars David Alan Grier, Martin Mull, Leslie Jordan, and Vicki Lawrence.
The Cool Kids premieres Friday, September 28th on FOX.
10. A Million Little Things

STEPHANIE SZOSTAK, CHRISTINA MOSES, DAVID GIUNTOLI, JAMES RODAY, ROMANY MALCO JR
To start the plot of a show about friends with the suicide of another friend might not seem like the most inspiring thing. Yet, A Million Little Things looks to be in the style of shows like This is Us: equal parts heartwarming and heartbreaking with both tension and humor in between.
A great cast and strong early reception make it a prime contender for must-see TV this Fall.
