There isn’t much to go on with the first part of the episode’s description. The photos seem to suggest that Tim assigns Celina and Miles to sit at the table in an attempt to recruit new members. It also looks like Lucy stops by to check in.
Meanwhile, the promotional materials for “The Thinker” offer much more clarity about Bailey’s storyline.
Now that she’s back in Los Angeles, she will be training a probational firefighter, better known as a “probie.” Bailey calls John and says, “It’s my first day back, and I got a rookie.” The photos tease that Sydney Mae Diaz may play that character.
Bailey asks for John’s advice, but The Rookie‘s promo video shows that their first day on the job together goes anything but smoothly.
They respond to a call where someone has been shot, only to be taken to a secondary location where a man with a gun is asking for his money. This man threatens to shoot John, who is pretending to be a doctor — so as not to set the criminals off — if he doesn’t get what he wants.
