The Rookie Season 8 Episode 2 Preview: Fast Andy
The team works with the Secret Service to find a dangerous suspect on The Rookie Season 8 Episode 2, “Fast Andy.”
It seems they’re under the clock to do so, too. In the promo video, Grey says, “The President lands in two hours, and we have a wannabe assassin on the loose.”
As Nyla explains, the suspect is Jerry Hudson, who’s an “avid collector of conspiracy theories and weapons.” Angela and Nyla are then seen questioning someone who presumably knows Jerry. She describes him as “a very disturbed man, who has the means to do great violence.”
It’s unclear if this is the case that tests Miles’s instincts, but that doesn’t seem too difficult to believe given its intensity. Meanwhile, it seems like “Fast Andy” will show Miles making literal moves into Celina’s apartment, given the number of boxes around him in the photo below.
Plus, the episode will see some staffing shake-ups at Mid-Wilshire.
It seems like Grey is present at the meeting in his new role as a senior liaison for SSA Matthew Garza’s FBI task force. The photos (and his taking point in the promo video) suggest that Tim’s new role will be as Watch Commander.
Tim’s exchange with Nolan (“Don’t do your best. Do my best.”) may be a perfect indicator of what Tim will be like in the role.
