“One of the first questions I asked was, how does one achieve a series out of The Exorcist? Certainly no one was ever looking, or setting out, to do exorcism of the week, it was not that whatsoever,” said Wyatt.

So it’s like that we’ll be following the new odd-couple team of exorcists, Father Tomas and Father Marcus on a new case.

The series starred Geena Davis, Alfonso Herrera, Ben Daniels, Hannah Kasulka, Brianne Howey, Kurt Egyiawan, and Alan Ruck and was produced by Jeremy Slater, Rolin Jones,  Rupert Wyatt, Roy Lee, James Robinson, and Barbara wall with Twentieth Century Fox Studios.

The drama was based off the 1973 movie by the same name, with a tense slow-burn plot and did a good job of balancing two new main characters with the source material. However,

The Exorcist now joins Gotham, Lethal Weapon, Lucifer, Star and The X-Files, for the 2017-2018 television season.
