Margo’s Got Money Troubles Trailer Puts Elle Fanning into a Messy, Debt-Filled Adulthood
What happens when someone tries to make it all on their own, but can’t find a solid job in today’s world? That question seems to be answered on Apple TV’s new series, Margo’s Got Money Troubles.
Apple TV released the trailer for Margo’s Got Money Troubles, which premieres on Wednesday, April 15. The eight-episode series will release a new episode weekly until May 20.
Based on Rufi Thorpe’s best-selling novel of the same name, there is much to expect from the misadventures and side-hustling of Elle Fanning’s Margo.

The synopsis reveals that Fanning’s Margo is a recent college dropout, but she aspires to become a writer. She’s shown the potential to go to Ivy League universities, like Harvard, but after a hook-up, everything changes for her.
Since then, Margo has been living with her mother, Shyanne, an ex-Hooters waitress, and her father, Jinx, a former pro-wrestler.
As a single parent to her baby, Margo does all she can to make money, like posting on OnlyFans. This path leads her down a terrible road that causes her to confront the very thing she’s been dreading: her baby taken from her.
Fortunately for her, she’s got an incredible amount of support backing her plan of action. With her roommate Susie and a couple of new friends she meets on the road, Margo might prove to be tougher than she looks.

Alongside the drama of Margo’s Got Money Troubles, Thorpe’s story bears an incredible amount of heart-warming moments and important life lessons. Under all the glitz and sparkles of Margo’s inspired side-hustling, the core of the series will always be family.
In addition to Fanning, Pfeiffer, and Offerman, the cast of Margo’s Got Money Troubles includes Thaddea Graham, Nicole Kidman, Marcia Gay Harden, Greg Kinnear, Michael Angarano, Rico Nasty, and Lindsey Normington.
Margo’s Got Money Troubles is produced by A24 with David E. Kelley serving as showrunner, marking their second collaboration on Apple TV after Presumed Innocent.
Kelley also executive produces alongside Elle Fanning, Dakota Fanning, and Brittany Kahan Ward for Lewellen Pictures; Kidman and Per Saari of Blossom Films; and Matthew Tinker for David E. Kelley Productions.
