9-1-1 Season 9 Episode 13 Preview: Mother’s Boy
Buck and Eddie’s road trip home to Los Angeles from Nashville takes a terrifying turn on 9-1-1 Season 9 Episode 13, “Mother’s Boy.”
The two characters decide to make the cross-country drive when their flights are canceled after the National Firefighter Games on 9-1-1: Nashville Season 1 Episode 12, “Spirit of the Games.”
Their plan to make it home in time for Hen’s birthday is seriously derailed when a large truck seems to hit their car off the road.
The 9-1-1 promo video shows Eddie waking up in a hospital, asking, “What about my friend? How is he?” To which a doctor replies, “There was nobody else in the car with you.” So, where is Buck?
That question looms large for Maddie back in Los Angeles, who is rightfully concerned that her brother is missing. Athena offers up the idea that someone may have picked Buck up after the accident.
In a scary twist, the promo video for “Mother’s Boy” seemingly reveals just that. Buck — dressed in new clothes and his hands duct-taped behind him — is somewhere unknown with someone unknown. That person reaches for a weapon before the promo video pivots to 9-1-1: Nashville.
The 9-1-1 promotional materials offer just enough information for fans to theorize until the episode airs on Thursday. For instance, it’s been a little more than a season since Maddie and severly injured — to say the least — on 9-1-1 Season 8 Episode 10, “Voices.” What’s going to happen to Buck and why?!
