What to Expect from Doc Season 2 Episode 15: Trust
Secrets, lies, and deception abound on the aptly titled Doc Season 2 Episode 15, “Trust.”
It started on Doc Season 2, Episode 14, “When You Know, You Know,” when it was revealed that Michael cheated on Amy with Nora. As with the revelation that Amy fought to get Sonja hired, this new information about Michael completely reframes how we see the end of their marriage.
It’s not as simple as Amy’s grief led her to blow up their entire family. In fact, right before Amy found out about the affair, from their daughter no less, she was trying to reconcile with him.
The revelation doesn’t just change how we see the past; it will no doubt have reverberations for Amy and Michael’s current and future relationship. Reverberations we see the start of on “Trust.”
Another major secret getting closer to being exposed is Joan’s illness. On “When You Know, You,” TJ and Sonja started putting together the clues and are getting closer to figuring out what’s going on.
It’s hard to say whether this is the episode where the truth comes out, but the promo certainly suggests it will be an episode focus.
Perhaps, even more telling that things will be coming to a head for Joan pretty soon, is that Scott Wolf is back again as Richard. We know from a previous episode that Richard wants his job back. As the episode description for “Trust” says, he has a trick up his sleeve.
It seems most likely that that trick will be aimed at Amy or Michael, at least for now. However, if he finds out about Joan, he won’t hesitate to expose her.
If all that weren’t enough, even good guy Jake is getting in on the lies by hiding the nature of Rachel’s health scare from Amy.
Amy just learned that Michael had been hiding things from her both in the past and in the present. Even if he has the best of intentions, and knowing Jake, he does, it doesn’t seem like the best time to be keeping secrets from Amy.
