What to Expect from Doc Season 2 Episode 10: Chief
Doc Season 2 returns for its second half with Doc Season 2 Episode 10, “Chief,” after a pretty dramatic winter finale.
When we left Amy and the rest of the Westside crew on Doc Season 2 Episode 9, “Kaddish,” a lot of drama had gone down at the funeral for Jake’s father.
Most of the drama on “Kaddish” was from Hannah and Charlie’s mission to take down Amy. Despite not really knowing what happened between Amy and their father, the siblings are convinced she is responsible for his suicide, and they are out for revenge.
Over the course of the episodes leading up to “Kaddish,” the pair gained access to Amy’s Westside employee login. They tried to gaslight her into thinking she was forgetting things and making dangerous mistakes with patients.
Then, on “Kaddish,” Charlie, without Hannah’s blessing, released a recording of one of Amy’s sessions with Gina, in which she admits to kissing Michael, thereby blowing up his marriage.
Charlie’s move might backfire on him and Hannah, though. Knowing she didn’t send the recording, Amy figures out that she’s been hacked. When the series returns, Amy and her allies will be on a mission to expose the hackers.
While Michael’s marriage is falling apart, another ship is on the ascent, coming into the winter premiere. Following his father’s death and some shared moments with Amy, Jake decides to throw caution to the wind after hearing the recording and figuring out what happened.
He tells Amy he no longer cares and wants to be with her. Which she readily accepts.
All of these developments signal some significant changes for the second half of the season, but will almost certainly play out through the end of the season.
Meanwhile, there is still some doctoring to attend to on “Chief,” as the crew faces two challenging cases on the episode.
Amy and Sonya continue to clash as they treat an unhoused person, while Jake and TJ try to figure out why a young woman is in a coma.
