Descendants: Wicked Wonderland First Look Teases Red and Chloe’s Next Adventure
Red and Chloe think they might have gotten away with what they did in Descendants: The Rise of Red. Unfortunately, things may not be so good as they seem.
Disney+ released the first look at Descendants: Wicked Wonderland, the follow-up film to the recent spinoff of the original Descendants series. The teaser debuted ahead of the Descendants/ZOMBIES Worlds Collide: Concert Special, which is also available on Disney+.
Although no specific date has been set, it is confirmed to premiere on Disney+ and Disney Channel this summer. This first look provides intriguing clues about the plot.

While specific details were kept under wraps, there was a general synopsis that was revealed last February. The film is set to pick up right after the events of The Rise of Red, where Red and Chloe are transported into a friendlier present where it’s “happily ever after.”
The first look appears to confirm this. The duo hides the watch that allowed them to travel back to the past in a safe place. Then, there are brief flashes of Brandy’s Cinderella and Rita Ora’s Queen of Hearts as well, who appear troubled by something.
Red and Chloe seem unaware of the new threat that they have to face: Maddox Hatter.
In The Rise of Red, Hatter gave Red the pocket watch in the first place, which caused the time-travelling chaos. Descendants: Wicked Wonderland will see Maddox Hatter as “a ruthless villain determined to uncover the pocket watch’s whereabouts to bend time – and the fate of Wonderland – to his will.”

The film’s official synopsis reads: “Set primarily in present-day Wonderland with a host of new and familiar characters, this movie delves into the warning from the previous movie: There are consequences when you alter the fabric of time. ”
Kylie Cantrall and Malia Baker are set to return as the heroic duo of Red and Chloe, respectively. In addition, the returning cast includes Leonardo Nam, Melanie Paxson, Brandy, Paolo Montalban, and Rita Ora.
New to the cast are Liamani Segura, Alexandro Byrd, Brendon Tremblay, Kiara Romero, Joel Oulette, Zavien Garrett, Ryan McEwen, and Dayton Paradis.
The Baby-sitter’s Club‘s Kimmy Gatewood directs with a script by Sneakerella‘s Tamara Chestna. Suzanne Todd and Gary Marsh return to the franchise as executive producers.
