A genie is unprepared for what awaits him when he meets Ka-young, his seemingly unremarkable new master. Genie, Make a Wish premieres on October 3 on Netflix.

Maintenance Required (Prime Video) – October 8

In Prime Video’s newest rom-com, two rivals unexpectedly end up falling for each other after they start talking on an anonymous social media platform. Maintenance Required premieres on October 8 on Prime Video.

Film Description: In Maintenance Required, Charlie, the fiercely independent owner of an all-female mechanic shop, is forced to reevaluate her future when a flashy corporate competitor moves in across the street. Seeking comfort, she turns to an anonymous online confidant – unaware she’s confiding in Beau, the very rival threatening her business. The Last Frontier (Apple TV+) – October 10

A U.S. marshal must protect his town after a prison transport plane crashes, resulting in dozens of violent inmates being set free in the wilderness. The Last Frontier premieres with two episodes on October 10 on Apple TV+ with new episodes releasing weekly.

Series Description: The Last Frontier follows Frank Remnick (Jason Clarke), the lone U.S. marshal in charge of the quiet, rugged barrens of Alaska. A powerful family will have to band together in the face of a tragedy to protect their reputations and everything they cherish. Murdaugh: Death in the Family premieres with three episodes on October 15 on Hulu with new episodes releasing weekly.

Series Description: Maggie and Alex enjoy a lavish life of privilege as members of one of South Carolina’s most powerful legal dynasties. But when their son Paul is involved in a deadly boat crash, the family is faced with a test unlike any they’ve ever encountered. It’s time to check back in with Molly after she shared an awkward kiss with her will-they-won’t-they colleague, Arthur. Loot Season 3 premieres with two episodes on October 15 on Apple TV+ with new episodes releasing weekly.

Season Description: In Loot, Molly Wells (Maya Rudolph) embarks on a journey of self-discovery after getting an $87 billion divorce settlement from her wealthy tech billionaire husband John Novak (Adam Scott) of 20 years, and we find her thriving in her role as the head of her philanthropic organization, the Wells Foundation. Molly has landed the jet for season three, with viewers left on the edge of their seats following the season two finale that saw Wells and her trusted and somewhat assistant Nicholas (Joel Kim Booster) board Molly’s private jet with her orders to take her as far away as possible after blowback from her fellow billionaires about stepping up philanthropy and her awkward exchange with her will-they, won’t-they colleague Arthur (Nat Faxon).

The upcoming season will also continue to follow the antics of the beloved group of misfits at the Wells Foundation as they work together so Molly can live up to her promise of giving away all of her vast fortune.

The Diplomat Season 3 (Netflix) – October 16

Hal and Kate are learning that you should be careful what you wish for. The Diplomat Season 3 premieres on October 16 on Netflix.

Season Description: In Season Three of The Diplomat, Ambassador Kate Wyler (Keri Russell) lives the particular nightmare that is getting what you want. She just accused Vice President Grace Penn (Allison Janney) of hatching a terrorist plot and admitted she’s after the VP’s job. A grieving man returns home and finds himself getting involved in a string of cold-case murders. Harlan Coben’s Lazarus premieres with all episodes on October 22 on Prime Video.

Series Description: Based on an original story idea and written by the New York Times best-selling author Harlan Coben and BAFTA-winner Danny Brocklehurst. Lazarus follows a man (Sam Claflin) who returns home after his father’s (Bill Nighy) suicide and begins to have disturbing experiences that can’t be explained. He quickly becomes entangled in a series of cold-case murders as he grapples with the mystery of his father’s death and his sister’s murder 25 years ago.

Everyone’s favorite unexpected couple is back for a new season. Nobody Wants This Season 2 premieres on October 23 on Netflix.

Season Description: First comes love, then comes life. The last time we saw agnostic podcast host Joanne (Kristen Bell) and unconventional (hot) rabbi Noah (Adam Brody), their unmatched chemistry surprised everyone in their lives, including her sister Morgan (Justine Lupe), his brother Sasha (Timothy Simons) and sister-in-law Esther (Jackie Tohn), and even themselves. Mike will have to fight to maintain control over Kingstown and keep his loved ones safe. Mayor of Kingstown Season 4 premieres on October 26 on Paramount+.

A concerned neighbor and a private investigator look into the disappearance of a young girl. Down Cemetery Road premieres on October 29 on Apple TV+. 

Film Description: When a house explodes in a quiet Oxford suburb and a girl disappears in the aftermath, neighbor Sarah Trafford (Ruth Wilson) becomes obsessed with finding her and enlists the help of private investigator Zoë Boehm (Emma Thompson).
