Slow Horses Renewed for Season 7 at Apple TV+
Apple TV+ has renewed Slow Horses for a seventh season ahead of its Season 5 premiere later this year.
The Emmy and BAFTA Award-winning Slow Horses stars Gary Oldman as Jackson Lamb. The show’s six-episode seventh season will see “Lamb and his Slow Horses…on the hunt to find and neutralize a mole at the heart of British Government before they can bring down the state,” per its logline.
“Slow Horses has won fans all over the world with its unique mix of self-deprecating British humor and high-octane action. I’m delighted viewers will have another season to enjoy Gary’s magnificent performance as Jackson Lamb alongside the Slow Horses’ slightly inept spycraft,” Jay Hunt, creative director, Europe, Apple TV+, said.

As previously reported, the streamer also renewed the comedic spy drama for a sixth season ahead of its upcoming season in October 2024.
Before any of that occurs, though, Slow Horses Season 5 must air, and its description reads as follows:
“Everyone is suspicious when resident tech nerd Roddy Ho has a glamorous new girlfriend. When a series of increasingly bizarre events occur across the city, it falls to the Slow Horses to work out how everything is connected. After all, Lamb knows that in the world of espionage, the London Rules — cover your back — always apply.”
It will be adapted from London Rules, the next novel in Mick Herron’s Slough House book series. The six-episode season premieres on Wednesday, September 24, with weekly episodes streaming until the season finale on October 29.

Apple TV+ released a sneak peek at Slow Horses Season 5 — a photo of Oldman as Jackson Lamb — in June 2025. The series also stars Kristin Scott Thomas, Emmy Award nominee Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Ruth Bradley, James Callis, Tom Brooke, and Jonathan Pryce.
The fifth season will welcome Ted Lasso‘s Nick Mohammed as a special guest star.
Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Dan Hassid, Mick Herron, Gail Mutrux, Douglas Urbanski, and Oldman are executive producers of Slow Horses. See-Saw Films produces the series for Apple TV+.
Slow Horses Season 7 is adapted for television and executive produced by Ben Vanstone, with Robert McKillop set to direct. See-Saw Films is part of the Mediawan group.
