Will Trent Season 3 Episode 15 Review: The Most Beautiful, Fierce, Smart, Powerful Creature in the Whole World

Four different storylines play out with varying levels of emotional depth. Will Trent Season 3 Episode 15, “The Most Beautiful, Fierce, Smart, Powerful Creature in the Whole World,” puts two of our favorite characters in vulnerable positions. The other three embark on an entertaining murder mystery that turns into a hunt for a jewel thief.

Though the Ormewood, Amanda, and Faith storyline is entertaining, Angie and Will’s journeys give this episode its heart.

We have heard about the Big Bad Wolf, Angie’s mother, all series long. We finally unexpectedly meet her. It’s right before her death.

This final encounter forces Angie to process many emotions, including forgiveness. Angie’s neglectful mother has sacrificed her repeatedly, yet Angie still mourns her even before her death.

This complex dynamic emphasizes the complicated relationship sometimes between a child and a parent. No matter how toxic the relationship may be, that bond can be unbreakable. This makes the eventual death even more heartbreaking.

It might be better for Angie to no longer have the burden of a mother who never truly cared, but it won’t stop her from grieving over this loss. In many ways, this is a loss of what should have been.

Angie deserves a mother who loved and cared for her, but instead, she got a selfish, emotionally abusive, and neglectful mother. You can know someone is a monster and still want them to live and be in your life.

Angie has been through a lot over Will Trent’s three seasons, but her mother’s death seems to be the final thing to push her fully over the edge, at least with her vices.

“The Most Beautiful, Fierce, Smart, Powerful Creature in the Whole World,” ends with her taking a drink. As we inch towards the final few episodes of the season, Angie turning back to the bottle will likely become a main focus. This is unfortunate because she seemed to thrive this season.

She has been happy, healthy, and better at her job. Now Will Trent has scarred three of our main characters: Ormewood has a potentially deadly tumor, Will is still haunted by killing Marco, and now Angie has given in to her addiction.

This crew has many things to work out by the end of Season 3 and maybe into Season 4.

Will’s story with Marco’s family is as powerful as Angie’s because it shows Will cannot be absolved of this mistake. He cannot be forgiven, not by Marco’s family and not by himself. He’s not the hero here.

He’s forever the villain with this one particular incident. “The Most Beautiful, Fierce, Smart, Powerful Creature in the Whole World” reiterates that Will’s mistake shouldn’t be let off the hook.

He acts on instincts, but he could have done things differently. However, the other side of the coin may have had an even deadlier or heartbreaking result. If he hadn’t acted fast, and how he did, more people might have been hurt.

It’s a complex situation with no right answers. Therefore, the complications for Will involve him not easily being forgiven by the viewers, himself, and Marco’s family.

“The Most Beautiful, Fierce, Smart, Powerful Creature in the Whole World” isn’t the most emotionally riveting episode, despite the subject, but the conversations it starts are captivating and important.

Stray Thoughts

• I also expected an Ormewood and Faith kiss at the end…the writers might be holding off on that for the season finale.
• I feel like Will Trent did a good job of making Angie’s mother terrible in a realistic way.
• I can see Will being what Angie needs to tackle this addiction again, just hope it stays platonic for the moment. They can’t only fall back together during turmoil, or the longevity won’t work.
• I enjoy all the flashbacks to Will and Angie’s younger selves and lives in Season 3.
• Amanda looks gorgeous and hot all episode.
• It was really obvious that the pregnant woman was the jewel thief, right?
• Glad we got a sexy storyline with someone over 50. Give us more of that ABC.
