Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 Teaser Trailer Released by Paramount+

Ahead of its return on Paramount+ this summer, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds teases a genre-bending third season in its new trailer.

The U.S.S. Enterprise crew will reach “new heights” and dive “into thrilling adventures of faith, duty, romance, comedy and mystery with varying genres never before seen on any other Star Trek.” The teaser trailer promotes 10 new adventures, including those set in a rom-com, mystery, a documentary, and even a bit of analog.

There is no release date for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 yet. As previously reported, Paramount+ renewed the series in March 2023.

The second season wrapped up with Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 2 Episode 10, “Hegemony,” in August 2023. During which, the team — still under the command of Captain Pike — encountered Gorn.

The most recent clip from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 was at New York Comic Con in October 2024. The first look came at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2024. It teased an episode where Captain Pike, Uhura, Chapel, La’an, and Pelia are injected with a serum that transforms them into Vulcans.

So, details about the season have been rolling out for more than a year. 

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 stars Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn, Ethan Peck, Jess Bush, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, Babs Olusanmokun, and Martin Quinn.

The season’s guest stars include Rhys Darby, Patton Oswalt, Cillian O’Sullivan, Melanie Scrofano, and Carol Kane, with special guest star Paul Wesley. 

The Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 teaser trailer reveals a glimpse of Oswalt as a Vulcan. It also teases a moment between Quinn’s Scotty and Wesley’s Kirk where the latter says, “We make a pretty good team.”

CBS Studios, Secret Hideout, and Roddenberry Entertainment produce the series. Alex Kurtzman, Akiva Goldsman, Henry Alonso Myers, Aaron Baiers, Dana Horgan, Davy Perez, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Chris Fisher, Rod Roddenberry, and Trevor Roth serve as executive producers. Goldsman and Alonso Myers serve as co-showrunners.

Paramount+ renewed Star Trek: Strange New Worlds for a fourth season in April 2024. It is currently in production in Toronto.
