Ghosts Season 4 Episode 17 Preview: His Girl Shiki

Ghosts, Previews

Love continues to be in the air for Ghosts this season as Sas receives the rom-com treatment this time.

Long overdue, Ghosts Season 4 Episode 17, “His Girl Shiki,” is determined to craft a love story worthy of our resident storyteller. So, Pete stays good on his promise to find a match for the spirit and comes through with a roaming ghost named Joan.

Taylor Ortega plays the “wisecracking 1940s screenwriter” who brings the Golden Age of Hollywood to Woodstone with a sharp tongue and sweet storytelling juxtaposition that instantly charms Sas.

There’s just one problem. Sas is still hung up on Shiki, his crush from his days as a living.

While the ghosts are desperate for Sas to give up on the relationship he can never have in favor of the one he can, the storyteller struggles to snuff out the torch he carries for his dream Lenape girl.

Inspired by a screwball comedy film from Joan’s time — His Girl Friday — this episode is the first of a two-part Sas storyline as he attempts to follow his heart and take one step closer to ending the 500-year-old virgin jokes.

What Happened on the Previous Episode?

Previously on Ghosts, dinosaur-loving stripper Chris acclimated a little too well to the afterlife after his failed skydiving strip tease. With both Nigel and Isaac bidding for his attention, Chris turned them both down in favor of exploring the world with his gravity-defying ghost power.

Meanwhile, Hetty’s newfound respect for her Irish heritage was rewarded on St. Patrick’s Day when it was revealed that the Livings can see her for one day a year. When a romance accidentally developed between the socialite and Jay’s cousin Sunil, Hetty realized that love at first sight was still in the cards for her.
