Will Trent Season 3 Episode 10 Review: Regarding the Death of Whitney McAdams
They say dead men don’t speak, but dead girls do. It’s weird to describe an episode about a murdered teenage girl as fun, but that’s the best way to describe Will Trent Season 3 Episode 10, “Regarding the Death of Whitney McAdams.” Will and Faith investigate the life of a teen girl to find out who killed her.
Will starts to conjure up her image as a guide (and annoyance) on his quest to solve this case. This leads to a fun change in format as we are left to question Will’s sanity.
Though this is not the first time our favorite detective talked to dead people, it might be the first time the victim is so talkative and active.

The best thing about Will Trent Season 3’s 18 episodes is that the show has time to experiment. No episodes have felt like filler, but some have gone against the usual format, and that makes for a more interesting season.
“Regarding the Death of Whitney McAdams” highlights how experimentation can yield positive results. The outcome of the case is a bit lackluster. Plus, all the twists aren’t as interesting as the writers probably thought.
Nevertheless, sassy Whitney McAdams adds so much to this story. Her interactions with Will are fun, funny, heartbreaking, and key to solving the case (and entertainment).
It’s also nice that the series establishes that Will knows this is just his imagination. We don’t have to worry that Will would be checked into a mental health institution anytime soon.
His projecting of his guilt in the form of a ghost is an interesting strategy for the show. He may be right to fear the consequences of his actions with Jeremy.

Nothing good can come out of Will Trent’s decision. Additionally, we never see him tell Faith so she can still find out on her own. There is also a chance that the next episode starts with Will telling Faith.
Whenever she becomes aware of his decision, we may see a very intense fallout. With so many episodes left, it would be shocking if Faith learns about Jeremy becoming an informant anytime soon.
It needs time to amplify the tension between them when she learns the truth.
“Regarding the Death of Whitney McAdams” is experimental, but it is also one of the episodes from this season (so far) that falls more into Will Trent’s usual pattern. We start with the weekly case, then have a fun side quest with Ormewood and Angie.
Ormewood’s family joining the series as more recurring characters has really made the character so likable. He may be slowly becoming one of the best the show has to offer.

He’s the right blend of endearing and goofy.
This makes it easy to root for him if and when the Faith and Ormewood romance begins. Despite Faith getting a new love interest, the show seems to still be hinting in that direction.
We see this when she naturally fits into his family dynamic. However, Faith’s new love interest seems fun and a way for her to have something uncomplicated for a while.
Faith deserves a little fun.
“Regarding the Death of Whitney McAdams” continues Will Trent’s experimental season with Will talking to a ghost. Whitney and Will’s dynamic makes for a really fun episode, despite the dark topic.
