What to Expect from The Rookie Season 7 Episode 12: April Fools
The Rookie Season 7 Episode 12, “April Fools,” rings in this year’s April Fools’ Day with an especially dangerous occasion.
The promo video for the upcoming episode reveals that the station’s social media intern has a major social media blunder. Tim shows Lucy and Celina the intern shared a post that reads, “City of Los Angeles: For the next 3 hours, ALL CRIME IS LEGAL. Go nuts, and don’t call us.” If that’s not enough, the intern added emojis.
That set-up puts a clock on how long the Mid-Wilshire Patrol Division’s team will have to try to keep the streets as safe as possible.
Unfortunately, the promo video for “April Fools” doesn’t exactly give them a soaring vote of confidence. John Nolan and another person, who appears to be a new rookie or a new character in general, go up against a crowd.
Plus, Tim calls into control to ask for back-up for what should be considered “a mass casualty event.” Earlier in the promo video, Celina says, “People have to know this is a joke,” and The Rookie seems to answer her in the negative.
As intense as that storyline appears it will be, “April Fools” also teases a development for Lucy Chen and Tim Bradford — Chenford — at the start of the promo video.
A half-dressed Tim opens his door to Lucy, saying, “It’s April Fools Day, which means nothing counts,” before the two kiss. It’s challenging to guess when this occurs on The Rookie‘s latest episode. It’s equally challenging to decipher what this will mean for Lucy and Tim’s renewed will-they-won’t-they relationship.
