What Happened on the Previous Episode?
Previously on Chicago P.D., Deputy Chief Reid pushed Voight’s unit to work on a Violence Reduction Initiative. Voight didn’t see the point in using his unit for something like this, but he had no other choice, given that Reid was still blackmailing him. However, as they worked the initiative, they stumbled upon a murder and drugs case.
Chapman returned from her time in another state and worked the case closely with the Intelligence Unit. Voight confided in her that Reid had been blackmailing him because of what happened with Torres and Burgess. He asked her to look into Reid and find something they could use against him.
The episode ended with Voight asking Chapman to help him bring Reid down.
