Chicago Med Season 10 Episode 16 Review: Poster Child
It’s nice to see Chicago Med Season 10 Episode 16, “Poster Child,” staying as close to reality as possible with Match Day also happening for Naomi. It’s even nicer to see she is staying at Gaffney for her residency.
Naomi’s presence in the ED has been the one thing that has reminded viewers that Lenox is human and not just a robodoctor. Her relationship with Naomi has been the sweetest and most emotional on the show so far.
But it doesn’t end there. With Lenox’s brother showing up again, the show continues expanding on her storyline, making her more likable than a few episodes ago.

The episode also explores the idea of a love interest coming into play. Even though we have seen Hayes before, it becomes clear that something might happen between him and Lenox.
She seems to sort of let her guard down with him, letting her tease her and teasing him back. It’s the first time we see Lenox make a joke, and that says plenty.
Between her brother coming back, Naomi staying at Gaffney, and Hayes flirting with her, Lenox’s persona is slowly coming out of her shell.
However, as much as watching her have a romantic partner would be interesting, whatever is happening with her brother’s health will ultimately take over her storyline. His tremor and his pushing it away won’t make Lenox stop thinking about it.
Hopefully, we will figure out what’s going on there.

Lenox’s brother isn’t the only character who comes back on Chicago Med Season 10 Episode 16, “Poster Child.” Ainsley is also back to shadow Maggie and make Frost’s life as painful as possible.
From the moment Ainsley shows up, we can see Frost is uncomfortable. He avoids her as much as he can, seems to recoil every time she touches him, and walks away when she kisses him.
This behavior, combined with what happened on Chicago Med Season 10 Episode 15, “Down in a Hole,” tells us there’s more to the story than he is letting on. Lo and behold, that is confirmed when he tells Maggie he was in a relationship with Ainsley.
Just like Maggie, viewers immediately understand that it wasn’t a relationship. Ainsley took advantage of Forst when he was young and the situation he was in with his parents. Frost can justify it and lash out at Maggie all he wants, but the truth is that Ainsley used her power over him.
A power she is still trying to use by convincing him he loved her, their relationship was more than a fling, and she was the only one who supported him. She is still trying to control him years later.

As much as he tries to deny that something was wrong, Frost sees he needed help back then, but nobody helped him. He opens his eyes to this situation by working with Charles and their patient, Liam.
When they discover what’s going on with Liam, Frost wonders how they can tell his parents that the kid needs help when he’s not asking for it. That’s probably how he sees his experience with Ainsley now that he is an adult.
What truly shows us that Frost still needs help and wants to be heard (besides talking to Maggie) is how he reacts when Liam’s father hugs the boy and tells him he loves him no matter what. At heart, Frost is still the teenager who needs to hear that from his parents.
Now that Ainsley came into the picture and we have more details about his past, it would be interesting to see Frost’s parents to get the full picture of who he is.

While bad things will always happen on Chicago Med, it’s nice to see the good from time to time. On this episode, we get that through Goodwin’s storyline.
Watching her let go of the guilt she felt for over two decades because of the decision she made for a patient is great. The moment Josephine’s mom tells her how she feels, we understand Goodwin can move on from that.
Ripley being reinstated is also a good thing. We’ll have to wait and see if he makes good on his word to Goodwin and makes up for the mistakes of the past.
