The death of a elderly and wealthy real estate developer brings Elsbeth into the world of high-end escorts when it’s revealed that the last person to see the victim alive was a woman named Chloe.
Officially, Chloe, played by guest star Jordana Brewster, is a “lifestyle consultant.” However, a look into her closet suggests that her services are a little more extensive than that.
A popular presence among New York City’s Billionaires’ Row, Chloe, being the last person to see the victim before he died, makes her at least a vital witness but far more likely the prime suspect.
After saying how relieved she was not to have to worry about being pulled into any more black SUVs, Elsbeth is, of course, almost immediately pulled into another black SUV.
Only this time, instead of a former colleague there to give her a warning, it’s Judge Crawford in the car issuing a veiled threat against her and, more directly, against the woman she helped get acquitted for the murder he committed.
