Max calls in backup when she believes she witnessed a murder on Wild Cards Season 2 Episode 4, “Dial A for Alibi.”

It seems like Max’s studying — Art of the Grift is on the table near her — isn’t keeping her busy enough when she is stuck at home with a sprained ankle.

Instead of diving back into the book that is supposed to remind her of her con artist ways, Max picks up a pair of binoculars, and things get interesting.

The promo video for “Dial A for Alibi” shows Max calling Ellis after being convinced that she saw a man murder a woman.

Wild Cards is channeling Rear Window, isn’t it?

Nevertheless, Ellis understandably pushes back, saying Max left the TV on. However, after learning that the presumed dead woman is alive, Max suggests that the fake murders are rehearsals for an actual crime.

Things get even more complicated when Ellis wonders if someone is trying to pull a con on them. Luckily, Wild Cards has the whole team on the case. Yates appears to stake out the scene with Max at the condo across the street. Meanwhile, Simmons and Ellis are teaming up like the old days.
