Elsbeth lunges and perrys her way through her latest case on Elsbeth Season 2 Episode 12, “Foiled Again.”
When a college admissions officer is killed, Elsbeth and the team step into the Ivy Tower to investigate. While there is likely plenty of motive to go around given the hyper-competitive world of college admissions, Elsbeth zeros in on Lawrence Grey.
Played by Matthew Broderick, Grey is an independent educational consultant with an apparent passion for fencing. Wealthy clients pay Grey to get their kids into the best schools regardless of their aptitude or academic record.
Given what we know about real-life college admissions scandals, it’s not hard to guess what Grey’s motive is. The real question is what part fencing will play in the investigation.
For an added bit of fun on “Foiled Again,” we won’t just be getting one Broderick guest star. The episode will also feature Matthew Broderick’s son, James Wilkie Broderick.
There aren’t many clues about who James Wilkie will play other than that the character’s name is Carl. Still, it will be neat to see father and son on screen together (maybe even playing father and son?).
