If the preview image above is any indication, the case starts with a bit of that hippy vibe of “Unalive and Well” when a Wall Street titan named Bill Henderson decides to give all his money away.
He doesn’t get very far with his plan, though. Shortly after he makes the decision, he is murdered. That, of course, is where Elsbeth comes in. Her spidey senses quickly point her to the victim’s twin brother, Peter.
Elsewhere in the episode, the fallout from the Van Ness case continues to plague Elsbeth and disrupt her life. Now, however, she is not alone. As we saw on “Unalive and Well,” Kaya and Captain Wagner have Elsbeth’s back.
We already saw Captain Wagner make his first move on “Unalive and Well,” nudging a detective to reopen an investigation into the murder Elsbeth knows was committed by Judge Crawford. The case that first put her in his vindictive crosshairs.
Hopefully, on “Finance Bros,” we’ll see what plan Kaya and Elsbeth come up with to get Elsbeth out of her predicament.
