Happy’s Place Renewed for Season 2 at NBC
Happy’s Place isn’t closing any time soon!
The freshman comedy series, starring Reba McEntire, Belissa Escobedo, and Melissa Peterman, has been renewed for a second season on NBC, per Deadline.
Happy’s Place‘s renewal comes on the heels of St. Denis Medical‘s Season 2 renewal in January. It also comes four episodes ahead of the comedy’s Season 1 finale, which is tentatively set for Friday, March 21, per TV Line.

The news also comes ahead of Happy’s Place Season 1 Episode 15, “Sisters Ink,” on Friday, February 21, at 8/7c on NBC. During which, “Bobbie’s attempt to give Isabella a gift goes awry,” per its logline. The episode will also feature Christopher Rich, who starred alongside McEntire and Peterman as Brock on Reba.
The NBC comedy had already featured another Reba reunion when Steve Howey, who played Van Montgomery, appeared on Happy’s Place Season 1 Episode 7, “Ho-Ho-Howey,” on Friday, December 7.
Happy’s Place follows Bobbie (McEntire) when she inherits her father’s tavern and discovers that her new business partner, Isabella (Escobedo), is her “twentysomething half-sister she never knew she had,” per its logline.

NBC ordered Happy’s Place to series in May 2024 so the series could join its comedy slate, including Lopez vs. Lopez and Night Court.
As previously reported, the series debuted with Happy’s Place Season 1 Episode 1, “Pilot,” on Friday, October 18, at 8/7c on NBC. It brought in 14 million viewers across all platforms. By November, the network ordered five additional episodes for the series, bringing its debut season’s total episode count to 18.
Happy’s Place also stars Pablo Castelblanco, Tokala Black Elk and Rex Linn.
Writer Kevin Abbott executive produces the series with Reba McEntire, Michael Hanel, Mindy Schultheis, Matt Berry and Pamela Fryman. Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, produces Happy’s Place. Kevin Abbott and Julie Abbott created the series.
