St. Denis Medical Renewed for Season 2 at NBC
St. Denis Medical just received the best news!
The freshman medical comedy has been renewed for a second season by NBC.
The “mockumentary about an underfunded, understaffed Oregon hospital where the dedicated doctors and nurses try their best to treat patients while maintaining their own sanity” made its two-episode debut in November 2024.

Since then, St. Denis Medical has reached 21.4 million total viewers.
Days after its network launch, the series streamed its breakout comedy on TikTok and YouTube from Friday, November 15, to Sunday, December 1.
The comedy has become NBC’s #1 new show for the 2024-25 season in the 18-49 demo, and it has received critical acclaim.
Not only has St. Denis Medical been nominated for a Critics Choice Award for Best Comedy Series, but David Alan Grier has received nominations for both a Critics Choice Award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series and an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series.

St. Denis Medical is one of three new series that debuted with NBC’s fall line-up. The other two are the Zachary Quinto-led medical drama Brilliant Minds and the Reba McEntire-led multi-cam comedy series Happy’s Place.
The renewal comes on the same day as a new episode of the comedy. It marks the show’s return since St. Denis Medical Season 1 Episode 6, “Ho-Ho-Hollo,” aired on Tuesday, December 17, 2024.
St. Denis Medical Season 1 Episode 7, “50 CC’s of Kindness,” airs on Tuesday, January 14, at 8/7c on NBC. The episode’s description reads as follows:
Ron mocks Alex and Matt’s attempts to resolve a conflict between two prison inmates who stabbed each other in a gang fight. Serena helps Bruce address his fear of needles. Joyce finds herself smitten by the burly prison guard.

The series stars Wendi McLendon-Covey, David Alan Grier, Allison Tolman, Josh Lawson, Kahyun Kim, Mekki Leeper, and Kaliko Kauahi.
Showrunner Eric Ledgin and Justin Spitzer executive produce and write St. Denis Medical. Simon Heuer, Ruben Fleischer, Bridget Kyle, and Vicky Luu are also executive producers.
Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, and Spitzer Holding Company produce the series.
