Wild Cards Season 2 Adds Martin Sheen, Ally Sheedy, Marie Avgeropoulos, and More as Guest Stars
Wild Cards Season 2 may not premiere until next year, but its latest slate of guest stars is creating a buzz.
Variety exclusively reported that Martin Sheen (The West Wing), Ally Sheedy (Single Drunk Female), Marie Avgeropoulos (The 100), WWE star Tony D’Angelo, and Katie Findlay (Man Seeking Woman) will join the procedural for its sophomore season.
TV Line confirms that Sheen will recur as Joseph Edwards, “the greatest conman of all time, who has a connection to Max and George,” played by Jason Priestly. That character description all but confirms a closer look at Max and her father’s past when Wild Cards returns.

Meanwhile, Sheedy will guest star on the crime-solving procedural as Rose Pruett, “a tough, no-nonsense ranch owner,” and Avgeropoulos will play Nadia Evans, “a street racing expert and fiercely protective mother.” D’Angela will portray Jaws, “a formidable and commanding criminal mastermind.”
Lastly, but certainly not least, Findlay joins Wild Cards as Maddy, “Max’s sassy best friend and former partner-in-crime.”
Starring Vanessa Morgan as the “spirited, clever con woman” Max Mitchell and Giacomo Gianniotti as the “by-the-book, sardonic cop” Ellis, Wild Cards follows the unlikely duo as they must work together to solve crimes.
The show’s debut season concluded with Wild Cards Season 1, Episode 10, “Romancing the Egg,” in March 2024. During which, Max pulls a con on Ellis, stealing a 33 million dollar jewel, and drops the cliffhanger of knowing the identity of his brother’s killer.

The CW renewed the series for an expanded, 13-episode second season in May 2024.
This casting news comes ahead of the Wild Cards Season 2 premiere on Wednesday, February 5, at 8/7c on The CW. As previously reported, it will share a night with the Leighton Meester, Luke Cook, and Clancy Brown-led drama series Good Cop/Bad Cop when the latter debuts on Wednesday, February 19, at 9/8c.
Executive producer Michael Konyves created the series from Blink49 Studios, Front Street Pictures and Piller/Segan in association with The CW for commissioning broadcaster CBC in Canada.
Wild Cards Season 1 Episode 1, “The Infinity Thief,” director James Genn, Shawn Piller, Lloyd Segan, and series writers Alexandra Zarowny and James Thorpe executive produce the series, with Charles Cooper and Virginia Rankin producing. Carolyn Newman, Tashi Bieler, and Alix Steerman, on behalf of Blink49 Studios, oversee Wild Cards.
