Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage is sticking around!

The freshman comedy has received a full season order from CBS after only two episodes, upping its Season 1 to 22 episodes.

The series stars Montana Jordan and Emily Osment in the titular roles, which they reprise from The Big Bang Theory prequel series Young SheldonGeorgie and Mandy’s First Marriage sees the couple “raise their young family in Texas while navigating the challenges of adulthood, parenting, and marriage,” per its logline.

As previously reported, CBS announced the Young Sheldon spinoff series, created and executive produced by Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro, and Steve Holland, in March 2024.

“According to VideoAmp and Paramount+ internal data, the premiere episode for Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage amassed 10.6 million multiplatform viewers in its first seven days, up versus YOUNG SHELDON’s final season premiere on Feb. 15,” per CBS.

The series debuted with Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage Season 1 Episode 1, “The 6:10 to Lubbock,” on Thursday, October 17, on CBS.

“With the resounding success of The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon, we were instantly on board when Chuck, Steven, and Steve brought us the idea to further explore this world through Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage,” Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, said.

“The enthusiastic audience reception has demonstrated the enormous appeal of these characters, and we can’t wait to see all of the hilarious fun this season will undoubtedly deliver,” Reisenbach added.

This news comes a day before Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage Season 1 Episode 3, “Secrets, Lies and a Chunk of Change,” airs on Thursday, October 31, at 8/7 on CBS. That episode has a story by Chuck Lorre and Steven Molaro and a teleplay by Steve Holland and Connor Kilpatrick. Mark Cendrowsk directs.

“Secrets, Lies and a Chunk of Change” description: Georgie digs into Mandy’s past when he discovers she’s been hiding thousands of dollars of debt. Meanwhile, Mandy tries to right her wrongs by going back to work.

The series also stars Rachel Bay Jones, Will Sasso, Dougie Baldwin, and Jessie Prez. Chuck Lorre Productions, Inc., in association with Warner Bros. Television for the CBS Television Network, produces the series.

Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage airs Thursdays at 8/7 on CBS and streams live and on-demand on Paramount+.
