76th Annual Emmys: Winners Include ‘Hacks,’ ‘Shōgun,’ and ‘Baby Reindeer’
As a Schitt’s Creek reunion crowned Hacks as the winner for Comedy Series, the 76th Emmy® Awards concluded a historic TV season.
Due to the writer and actor’s strike in 2023, many TV productions were delayed and were not able to qualify for the 2024 awards season, and this was also the second Emmys ceremony to take place in the same year.
EUGENE LEVY, DAN LEVY
Hosted by father-son duo Eugene and Dan Levy, the ceremony took place at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles. It featured iconic TV reunions, including Ron Howard and Henry Winkler from Happy Days and the cast from The West Wing.
The night included historic wins, with Hiroyuki Sanada and Anna Sawai becoming the first Japanese actors to win in their respective categories and Shōgun winning the most Emmys.s
Liza Colón-Zayas also became the first Latina actress to win Supporting Actress in a Comedy for her role in The Bear.
With heartfelt speeches, the 76th Emmys served as a reminder of coming together to celebrate the arts and the joy that they bring to our lives.
